No recorded TV thumbs (7 Viewers)

Hello,

I have a small problem with mediaportal (1.1.2) in combinastion with the newest stremamedMP.

In the homescreen I see thumbnails of the last added movies en music on the right side of the screen. It looks very nice.

When I scroll to the tab; "TV" I see some information about the last added tv recordings as well to the right side of the screen, but no thums.

Is there a solution to fix this? I have seen a few more people with the same problem, but no solution..

it doesnt show the thumbmail if its currently recording until after it has finished recording its not that?

Well, it shouldn't show recently added recordings unless its complete. I assume Fanart Handler gets the thumbnail generated by MediaPortal, if it exists it shows it.

doesnt work that way on my system, it shows the show name etc without thumbnail while its recording then the thumbnail will appear later once its finished recording

Ok, well it seems that Fanart Handler does not take that into account....imo it should only show after it has finished recording. Not sure if its possible, you should ask in the Fanart Handler forum if this can be done.

thanks for the replies.

There is even no thumbnail in the Recorded TV section. Ofcourse I have finihed a recording, but evne than I see nothing. I have test it with a couple of recordings about a few minutes, but nothing happend.

mtn.exe (which is the MediaPortal program responsible for the screengrab) isn't that good. For me, it fails all recordings from our H.264 channels. With MPEG2 channels it almost never misses a screengrab.

Not sure, you can ensure that tv thumb generation is enabled in Configuration (General->Thumbnails). Also check your logs, possibly errors being generated and mediaportal fails to generate one for some reason.

I dont use mytv much, and hardly ever record but I have heard ppl talk about thumbnail generation being unreliable.

Al settings are right, but still no thumbs:s Is this a skin related problem, or a problem of fanart scrabber.. I have no idea..
