no sound no dabase (1 Viewer)

I've tried several tve3 SVN's from the range 10-27 september and keep having the following experiences:

my setup; 2 computers:
1- TV-Server computer with WINXP/MS-SQL Xpres/firedtv/hauppage 150/TVE3 server
2- TV-Client computer with windows Vista/MP with TV-Client

Sometimes (read a lot of times, about 50% after reboot and can't find a cause) the client can't connect to the database, the message states that connection to tv-server is successfull, but that the database can't be contacted, I played around with restarting SQL browser service and tvservice but it doesn't seem to solve the problem.

Another issue is that, when the TV-client and TV-server connection is successfull, some channels don't have sound. The channels are always the same, and when watching them on the tv-server setup program with preview button, sound is OK.

Someone experiences the same, or could it be something in my setup?

Can someone point me to some important settings that I can check?

I discovered that the gente.config on the client was corrupted. It shows 6kb of space, but has only spaces in the file. I copied gentle.config from another computer where I installed mp and tvclient and everything is runnin OK now.

But, on vista, 1 thing makes me wonder:

what location is used for configuration files:

program files\team mediaportal... (I think in Vista this can't be)
program data\team mediaportal
users\all users\team mediaportal

Someone can make clear wich directory should what kind of files?
