SkyStar2 OK, but second B2C2 card (AirStar2) not found

Hello,

Only one of my two B2C2 cards is detected by the TV Server. I have one SkyStar2 and one AirStar2 card. They both work well simultaneously in DVBViewer, but MediaPortal only sees one (more precisely both the original TV module and the new TVEngine only find one card). Could someone advise what is happening? Please help, I'm getting desperate!

My Airstar is recognized as a Skystar. Autotuning is impossible because I only get Satellite-Parameters to fill in.

A Nova-T-USB-Stick is recognized well, but I can't get a picture to my notebook from tv-server even though connection has established by entering the hostname and were confirmed by MP.

I think the issue with Airstar is a basic issue.

Nova-T-USB Stick is no longer recognized as DVB-T but as Analog, same with Airstar. Must be happend after starting tvserver again after reboot

I have the same problem than you eagle, my Cablestar 2 (DVB-C) is recognized as Skystar 2 DVB-S.

I will try to fix it like the last time.

Why everybody think that B2C2 = Skystar only and doesnt test the network type

Hopefully you'll get it to run again. But I think there is a major-problem with recognizing DVB-T Cards. Stopping and starting the server has no effect on the recognition, but rebooting switches DVB-T to Analog.

MP-client running on the server-machine works for me with stuttered Audio and Video, when the TVCard is known as DVB-T. Analog-known I get the message that timeshift cannot be started.

MP-client on my notebook gets neither a picture nor audio, neither channels nor EPG with Nova-T USB Stick. I changed IP-Address from 127.0.0.1 to the IP-Address of my tvserver-machine in the file frodo mentioned here in the forum. But this was not the trick to make it work.

Nevertheless it would be great, if you can MP make to detect Airstar/Skystar/Cablestar in the right way.

Now has anyone of you a clue as to what can be happening on my system? Why can I only see one B2C2 device? (if at least my AirStar2 were detected incorrectly as SkyStar2, but it does not show up at all...)

I checked in the source code to discover that all support other than DVB-S is gone

because for many people B2C2 driver = Skystar

but the same driver can handle DVB-T (Airstar 2), DVB-C (Cablestar 2) and ATSC (Airstar 5000).
The difficulty is that you have to initialize it to discover which networktype is present on the card.

I will try to fix it when I will understand much better the new achitecture

Generally speaking, thats something the DEVELOPERS have to determine.

I think it' not so hard to reproduce the issue. All things are described. So why do you need logs? It's an issue of DVB-T Cards not only Airstar (becoming analogue after restarting the TVSever). I think it is more work to interpret a logfile from an unknown machine than reproducing it by himself.

It's reported several times on the forum (don't know whether logs has been attached)
