Hmm, might be related to problems with the epg grabbers. Could you try disabling both the timeshifting and idle epg grabbers?

Also, I'm guessing you have more than one tuner?

I'll try tonight. Only one tuner installed. but will order a second one next week. Got my smartwi in this week. Works like a charm.

Just had a quick look, seems to be unrelated to timeshifting or epg grabbing. It might be something with fta/scrambled channels. If I don't switch from fta to scrambled or vice versa it seems to work fine. It'll get stuck switching from fta to scrambled again. Will do some more extensive testing tonight and post some logs.

hmm,

That would make sense if you were using some kind of softcam that descrambles the signal and it is not releasing the card. Let me know what your settup is for descrambling. Keep in mind that talk of illegal descrambling is prohibited on this board. You can always PM me though.

Also, which direction does it get locked? to or from fta? Also what is the behaviour going each direction from a clean start of MP? For example, start up, select fta, go to scrambled and vice versa?

Nothing illigal. Been using the original smartcard. It'll get stuck going from unscrambled to scrambled. Not the other way around. Happens from a fresh start and during usage. Will post a log later on.

Offcourse, the second you try to get some logs it did work the first time! But after another fta --> scrambled change MP crashed. In the logs it says it's waiting for a graph to finish?

Any thoughts?

The graph seems to show ffdshow video renderer. Are you using that? If so there are known problems with the video portions of ffdshaw afaik. I use it for audio only. Previously you mentioned that you used Cyberlink for Mpeg decoding. What do you have selected for video rendering?

I've switched back and forth between both codecs. Both show the same behaviour. So far buying the full PowerDVD package hasn't been the best of investments, MP seems less stable with the Cyberlink codecs. Althought that, maybe, can't be blamed on Cyberlink......
