No TV On Resume Driving Me Nuts (2 Viewers)

MediaPortal Version: RC3
Windows Version: XP MCe 2005 SP3
basically i have not been able to get tv working on resume using any means. I can get it to work maybe once in a day but not by doing anything different then using standby handler.... the erros i've had so far are unable to start graph, unknown error occured and now i have managed to get this error which is the only one i cant solve... no free card available... no recordings in progress and no epg grabbing occuring... I have a nova t500 btw... the only way i can get this to work properly is if i wait about 30 seconds until after standby handler has restarted the tvservice and then manually restart it which is annoying... also setting the wait period before restarting it to 30 secs doesn't help because no matter what amount of time the first time you run the tvservice out of standby i get this error... bar the one lucky time per day... this kinda means i'm gona end up with needing a mouse to restart the service and thats kinda not my idea of a media center... anyone have any ideas...

How well did your T500 behave with MCE's standby and your same hardware specs, because if it played up then, its going to play up now.

it worked fine before on a previous mp install but because other things were broke i had to reinstall... anywayz i found out the problem is basically the tvserver and not the card and by restarting the service causes this but restarting it a second time fixes this so i've sorted it out and now have a (fingers crossed) fully working mediaportal htpc

I know how you feel and I think I have similar issues to you for recording from S3 sleep. I have a forum running on this, but basically if I schedule say 3 recordings overnight, I only get 1 or possibly 2 out of the 3. Some of the errors you mention I have seen in my TV.log file as well and I usually have issues with the NOVA 500-T card. I also have a PVR150 card for recording Prime TV and often this will work over the NOVA 500-T. I'm in Vista Home Premium.

I have a TV.log file in the forum which I posted today.

I see Paranoid Delusion has replied in this forum and has mentioned that going to RC4 has meant MPStandbyHandler is not needed any more under this release. Perhaps upgrade to this? Also sounds like Version 1 will be complete before Xmas, so you could also just wait for that.
