No TV sound after channel change (1 Viewer)

When changing channels in live TV mode, I often end up with getting video but no sound for the first 15...30 seconds. After this time sound starts and video pauses, until both are in sync. Then live TV runs as normal, but with the introduced delay.
When I stop live TV before changing channels I seem not to get this effect (not 100% sure though). I switched to different audio decoders but this made no difference. Could it be a splitter problem?

Cyberlink audio codec is know to behave "badly" with live tv. Please try for example ffdshow as audio codec for the tv section.

Hi,
just installed ffdshow_rev_1945_20080417_clsid and configured MP to use ffdshow as audio codec for TV and videos. At the moment live TV appears to be fine, but I will check this further since the TV station might broadcast "compatible" videostreams at the moment.

I will come back after some testing.

If you install Nero 8, you will get the "Nero Audio Decoder 2". This just seems to be the best codec for DVB audio. Even mono audio channels on some german channels run without problems.

B. you use the TV-Server for TV, why do you not post it in the TV-Server forum????

re B.) since it was difficult for me to decide that "missing sound" should be associated to the TV Server

IMO, it will not be easy for many users to discriminate in advance if a bug is caused by the TV Server or MP, and I think that a common forum for all bugs would be more convenient.

I will re-post this issue in the TV Server bug forum with all required infos and logs soon. Thanx.

Yes, you are right. I think we both have exactly the same problem. The nice thing here is, that we use totally different setups (PC, DVB card, Codecs, etc...) so the problem seems to be generic. I will follow the forum's bug report guidelines, create the required logs and repost everyhing in the TV server section (probably tonight).

Should we merge both threads?
