Hi All,

I made a fresh XP SP3 Install for my htpc project. Everything works fine but the standby, after a succesful wakeup i cant watch tv (unable to start timeshift). When I close then Mediaportal restart the TVservice manually TV works for 2 mins then the complete computer locks up (freezes, beeps one time, hdd shuts down, computer restarts). I added two clean logs. One directly after standby and the other one after mediaportal says no timeshift possible.

A normal restart later everything is back at the beginning. I know the technotrend cards are infamous for TVserver but i want to keep it up running because new digital everywhere cards a damn expensive. I hope you can give me some tipps!

Ok, I was able to fix it for me:

1. Install Vista 32Bit (so long - XP!)
2. All drivers etc. and Media Portal latest SVN
3. Disable UAC
4. get devcon
5. Create a batch file:

net stop tvservice
d:\devcon restart *1131
net start tvservice

6. create a windows task to run the batch file after standby (Protocoll: System, Source: Power-Troubleshooter, Event: 1)

Tried it a few times and worked perfectly so far. Im kind of happy
Maybe some Technotrend user can use this, too.
