    Hello again Magnus

But the picture gets pixeled and when I change codec from LAV to Microsoft DTV the picture gets smooth but freezes up

That sounds like an entirely different problem.
With LAV, make sure you have DXVA (hardware accelerated video decoding) enabled.
If that doesn't help I suggest you post fresh log files using the watchdog.

    Hi,

I have tried all possible TV codecs for MPEG-2 and H.264 ...
The debug log file is created with the LAV Filter, DXVA2 (native) but I have also tried with DXVA2 (copy-back) with the same result

    Thanks
    Magnus

    Hello again Magnus

The biggest problem is clearly coming from the server side. I think best to look at that first.
So you have continuity errors in you TsWriter log.
That can indicate signal issues, but it can also indicate a stressed HDD.
By "stressed" I mean the HDD is almost full, or you have a real time scanner such as MS Security Essentials attempting to scan the timeshift files.
Please check the HDD utilisation while timeshifting using the performance section of task manager (ctrl + alt + delete).
Also, I see you're using MD. If you want further assistance from me please disable it and show that the problem can be reproduced without it.

    Hi,

Tried to move timeshift files to separate disk, no difference

Enabled setting in MediPortal, TV/Radio/ TV, TS Readers options
x Don´t drop discontinued packets in TsReader
Picture almost watchable, still a bit pixeled not acceptable

The errors “No signal” in the TSWriter.log cannot be correct the signal is accordingly to professional measurement tools and the providers receiver 100% Signal Quality and, 85-95% Signal Strength

The error is possible to reproduce with or without MD

Are there any parameters you can tweak in the tsreaders settings?

    Regards
    Magnus

    Hello again Magnus

Please read my previous response again more carefully. :)

The error is possible to reproduce with or without MD
Okay, so please provide the log files to prove it. As I said already:
If you want further assistance from me please disable it and show that the problem can be reproduced without it.

So to be clear, I'm asking for fresh log files with MD completely disabled.

Tried to move timeshift files to separate disk, no difference
Do you have any anti-spyware or anti-virus software installed and enabled?
Do you have any firewall software installed and enabled?

What did you see when you did this?
Please check the HDD utilisation while timeshifting using the performance section of task manager (ctrl + alt + delete).

Enabling this option or any other TsReader options will only hide the problem. I don't recommend it. Best is to solve the problem on the server side.

The errors "No signal" in the TSWriter.log cannot be correct the signal is accordingly to professional measurement tools and the providers receiver 100% Signal Quality and, 85-95% Signal Strength
Yes, that is exactly why I said:
So you have continuity errors in you TsWriter log.

That can indicate signal issues, but it can also indicate a stressed HDD.
More rarely, it can also indicate overheating problems.

I have now done tests with DVB Viewer and it does not show any of the symtoms I have in MediaPortal
DVBViewer is not timeshifting to the HDD by default like MP. This points to a stressed HDD as the cause of the problem.
