I'm getting this error too. Using PCTV Stereo & newest builds. Sometimes it works fine, also for longer period, but after restarting TV it often happens again!
My 500MCE doesn'g have this problem but has difficulties getting the channel frequencies right...
Those are the last 2 show stoppers for my definitive migration to the new engine... :)

Hi.

Today I did get the error again and that was after that I had watch live-tv on one client for about one hour and then changed channel, then I got the error. I've some new logs and it seams like it is some timeout when creating the new ts-file that makes it to be zero size, the time in the logs will be about 2007-05-07 20:12:20. Hope someone will look in to this, because it makes it impossible to use for the rest of the family, they dont know how to get it work again after this error.

My setup is:
Tv-server with MP and one MP-client, when this happend the MP on the server was at the home screen with nothing started (I think) and the client was watching live-tv in fullscreen. If there are some more logs that you need, let me know and I put them here if I have them.

    Juppe,

Could you post the steps you used to reproduce the problem? I have an analog setup but I can't see the error you are having.

I did just like it says in the beginning of my last post,
    1. Started the tv-server from hibernate.
    2. Started the client.
    3. Started live-tv on client.
    4. Watched the same channel for about 1 hour.
    5. Switched channel on the client.

It was in 5 that the error occured, couldn't switch to the new channel and I got the error. I dont think this happens all the time, it comes now and then, so I understand that this will be hard to find and fix, because of that. Are you helped with the logs from the client? I can upload them tonight if you need them.

    man this is frustrating....

I tried removing the the files (live1-0.ts.tsbuffer & live1-0.ts.tsbuffer1.ts) and I could actually watch the DVB-S channels again (the DVB-T had been ok!!!)
-But the files wheren't in the folder I had specified!?!

    Now 'the other problems' just returned;

1; like the message 'the channel is coded' (roughly translated) - it IS coded, but I pay for it, and most of the time it also works!

2: At times it is almost impossible to change channels - espicially if it's on another tuner-card - it just waits for a bit, and start the previous channel again!!!

(If some know of threads where these problems are discussed, please let me know!)

    But as this is at 'No video/audio detected' thread, here are my opservations;
    - I run the server on a dedicated machine (along with a few other services like FTP & WWW)
    - It only affected my DVB-S card (it has to be said that I only use the DVB-T for one channel!)
    - Sometimes it seems to disappear if I restart the server…
    - It happens ‘out of the blue’…
    - I tried uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling the tvserver without any result (perhaps the files aren’t deleted???)

    Solved (for me)

I also have the same problem. Cannot use TVE3 at all, I tried it on my HTPC and on my desktop. Problem exisits on both, totally different, systems. Of course i used the same analog tv-card (Leadtek WinFast PVR2000).

I played with the settings and for me this error only occurs if my timeshiftfolder is a subfolder of my recodingsfolder. For recordings i used d:\recordings and for timeshift d:\recordings\timeshift. If i use d:\timeshift instead, it works. :D
The other people having the same problem should check their recordings- and timeshiftfolder. Perhaps this works for some others, too. If I have some time the next days I will have a look at the sources...

Yep, same problem here on single seat setup.

This often occurs when recording has been started earlier and I want to watch live TV at the same time (even if I try to watch the same channel that is currently being recorded). Removing all tsbuffer files helps.

I'm using 738MB RamDisk for tsbuffer files, but I've also tried locating them to one of my HDDs, seems no difference though.

    Hi all

I got the same problem on my single seat system. If I disable the DVB EPG then it wors better. Maybe the EPG is locking the card.

    Regards

I've being reading this thread and I'am a little confused, particularly because I can't reproduce. :)

Can someone post me simple steps on how to do it? Something like:

    Start Recording on Channel A,
Start Live TV on Channel B,
Error X appears and logs report this.

    Logs attached?

Sorry for being so specific, but by reading and testing what's in this thread I can't reproduce neither with analog or digital.
