Does anyone know where the info is kept in the database and how easily to access and change the data.

In tv engine 3 there isn't any card database all card detection is done in the source code level, so there isn't any need for updating the DB constantly when new cards are published. Frodo might have a more specific answer why it's not working on some specific card.

yea, I've been patiently waiting for someone to come up with a solution...

it'll be nice if the TVE3 can use the xml file in MP, that's working fine for me.

Anyone manage to get this working?? I'm having the same problem with the Hauppauge HVR-1600 and the ATSC. The analog one works perfect.

Anyone have a workaround to change the settings for the card so that it works?

I wish there was a solution to this, it's the only thing stopping me from setting up my home media system

yea, this sucks... but I have the hdhomerun which could run MP's old TV engine from the network

Sucks more for you guys who have the Hauppauge card.

I have just set-up the TV Server with MP and have the same problem. Mine is with the AVerTVHD A180. The current MP standalone worked just fine. I hate to ask the question one more time...but, is there a fix to this now or planned for the future?

    hello...

Any developer want to pick up this one?

I can setup a VNC access to my PC with hdhomerun and my analog tuner running. PM me if interested.

Replying to myself since no one want to pick this up....

I've been playing with the problem some more, I think the source of the problem is the TS File Source Filter 2.2.0.9 is not catching the correct Video PID (or is doing something funky).

Just comparing what happens when I run my analog card in MP w/ TVE3 or in preview mode in TV server setup, I see that the TS File Source Filter will show a PID for both Video and Audio. However, when I do the same for HDHomerun (ATSC), the TS File Source Filter is showing a PID '0' for Video.

Can any expert here help us out or at least confirm whether the TS File Source Filter is the first filter immediately after the capture card? I think this would at least help pin point the problem.

If this filter is indeed the problem, then can we use a different filter in its place?

Was a solution ever found to this?

I know on my system now, if I put the usetswriter.txt file in c:\ to use tswriter, I acn see my qam/atsc channels when timeshifting, but tswriter seems very buggy and causes all sorts of jumpiness and freezing.
Is there a solution without tswriter yet?

My current workaround is to choose to record a qam/atsc show, and then start watching "from beginning of recording" after a few seconds. This displays video and audio perfectly (without tswriter)
