    Hi
Tonight I have two programs that have recorded correctly, but there were no XML files to go with them...
The shows are in the recording table and all the fileds but there were no XML files created.
    Log attached.
    Ben

    Hi Ben

Check the settings table and look for the "createtaginfoxml" tag. The value should be "yes".

    Hi
Thanks, that was it. That is odd though. I have never even looked at the settings table.
I can't even begin to think why. I have done various things since the last xml file was produced, including playing around with web epg (turning it on and off), adding some tvwishlist schedules, updating xmltv file (via xmltv plugin), performing tvwishlist search.
Not a lot to do from here I guess, unless it happens again!
    Thanks
    Ben

    Hi again

As far as I'm aware there is no way to change that setting to "no" from TV Server configuration (it was removed from the user interface something like 18 months ago). There is some random code that deals with it in the TV plugin so there may be a way to change it from deep within MP recording settings, however I couldn't find it. In other words, I can't explain what happened either.

    Hi, again...
It's just happened again and the setting is definitely set to yes. I've no idea what to do! Shall I just try reinstalling or would you like to try anything?

    Hi again Ben

As I said, I'm not able to explain this. What type of recording was it (series or movie, manual or schedule of some kind)? I take it that EPG info was available? Are you able to provide logs?

    Hi
FYI I am pretty sure it is something to do with the Maya skin. There is a setting in there which turns off the createtaginfoxml tag in the database. I had unticked it and then re-ticked it at some point and it had not reset properly in some way, even though I changed the setting in the database back to yes after your suggestion.
Anyway, I deleted and reran all my schedules, restarted the server etc and it's working again. I have changed back to classic wide for the meantime because I don't want to get skin based errors while I am still sorting out my main build.
    thanks
    Ben
