Hi,

The TV part isn't working for my MediaPortal....
When I turn the TV on nothing happens. If I run in debug mode, it works fine.
I tried disabling all plugins except Home and TV and changed the skin to B3Wide, but the TV still doesn't work.
Restarting doesn't make a difference.

Any idea how to proceed?

BR, Thomas Fogh

I haven't installed anything but the SteamedMP skin.
Does anyone have an idea how I can proceed?

BR, Thomas Fogh

I've added a new log...

When I select a channel in the tv-guide, a progress bar pops up. It just keeps running and nothing else happens...

AW: Nothing happens when turning on TV

Just an assumption, witthout studying your logs: Do you have SAF 5 with ac3 passthrough enabled intsalled? I have the same problem when I start TV and the hdmi Sound output in Windows is enabled. I have to switch to my digital spdif playback device and all works well! Sounds strange maybe, but it's true.
If it won't work, try to play with your codecs!

I tried playing around with the codecs, but still no luck. Besides it works fine in debug mode...

Anyone have an idea?

I have the same problem with my FireDTV and actually almost identical hardware setup as you have.
Everything works fine with TV in MCE, DVBviewer or FireDTV viewer but not in MP.
Especially after sleep mode the TV function is not responding, everything else works fine (music, videos etc)
When i see that you have the same problem and the same hardware i think its a driver problem or a motherboard hardware problem.
I have a Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H motherboard and the same FIreDTV driver 5.7

It was working fine for MediaPortal 1.0.2, but I was running Windows XP at the time not Windows 7.

It works when I'm running in MP in debug mode, so I don't think it's a driver issue...

Yes i agree, it must be something with MP because i have never had problems with FireDTV viewer or MCE.
I can restart, hibernate or put into sleep mode without any problems with MCE or FireDTV viewer.
It doesnt matter if i close down MP and then put the pc into sleep, wakeup pc waits for a minute, start MP and goto TV and MP is not responding.
MP crashes everytime, this must something that MP misses after hibernate/sleep that isnt needed in MCE or other software.
I have tested in Vista and Win7 but not in XP.
I will try an older BDE driver for my FireDTV...

Nothing I do help fix the problem... I'll submit a bug report. Really annoying, as I had a fully functioning and wife-friendly setup with 1.0.2 and XP...
