Notifications for Extension Updates (1 Viewer)

I just wanted to say, that the update feature in StreamedMP is working perfectly, and that I love the notification of a pending skin update.

I was wondering if it might be possible to provide notification of a (any) pending plugin update when detected by the Extension Plugin. I hardly ever have the reason to go into this plugin and check, so it would be great if (say next to the clock), it said "3 Plugin Updates Available" or something like that.

Could this be done?

Hi robbo100, this is possible we would probably have to create a different color icon (green maybe) to distinguish between skin and plugin updates.

For now though, for select plugins we have added notification in the individual plugin windows but some are not very visible unless you open the side menus.

I was thinking on the Skin Settings window where we have the Updates button, we could have a nother button Plugin Updates...which will be visible if there are any plugin updates available and take you to the Extensions plugin to select which ones you wish to updates. We could provide breadcrumbs similar to the skin update to get to this button.

Thinking about this in more detail (having upgraded to an unstable plugin to have a play and then reverted to the stable version), there must be a mechanism of "ignoring" plugin updates.

If this is not possible, and you retrograde back to an earlier version of a plugin, it will always show on the screen as "Plugin Update Available" which could be quite annoying. Is this possible with the current setup, or would it need other options within the Extension Plugin itself?
