I still have problems with occasional stutter with RC1.
Just for the records I post all the facts, maybe others have similar problems or devs have a clue what's wrong.

The stutter appears at least every 10 to 15 minutes and lasts for about 2 or 3 seconds.

It looks similar to what you see when switching channels until video and audio are in snyc.

The Shift + 1 statistics prove it is not caused by dropped frames, and log does not show anything.

It is not caused by the stream, because rewind and replay the same scence did not show the problem.

It is not coherent to live TV cause it also appears on recorded TV content.

It only happens on SD not HD (I only could test HD 720p).

Switching codec between MS codec and PDVD9 codec does not have any effect.

Switching audio codec between MS codec and ffdshow does not have any effect.

Replacing dshowhelper.dll by any of the versions posted here: improving-evr-renderer-playback-quality-77563/ does not have any effect on the problem.

Replacing core.dll by the one posted here: playing-problems-rc1-tv-radio-avi-dxva-78501/ does not cure the problem.

Replacing core.dll with that on of SVN 1.0.4.24923 solves the problem.

Switching again to core.dll from SVN 1.0.4.24975 or later and the problem is back.

If there is anything additional I can test feel free to tell me.

Cheers grubi.

    Grubi,

Same here - I have stutter on SD (not checked HD), with latest Core.dll (Manfred's) - no dropped frames reported at the time. Running PDVD9, but tried MS codecs.

    Thanks,

    J.

    Here's my experience with RC1!

With RC1 clean install stutter on nearly all channels / some HD channels nearly unusable (1080i). Many dropped frames on all codecs.
I use PDVD9 for SD and HD. But it is the same with MPC.

Didn't try core.dll from SVN 1.0.4.24923 (Is it working perfect?)

Core.dll from playing-problems-rc1-tv-radio-avi-dxva-78501 nearly solves my problem. Sometimes stutter (10-15 min) but not as bad as without this core.dll.

But with all these "workarounds" channel change is slower. HD to HD works, but f.e. HD to SD is slow and sometimes didn't work at all (I use 1.02 before). If there's a change from AC3 to an Mpeg stream I'd to press home and start the stream again until it works. Hope there will be a solution soon, otherwise I'd to go back to 1.02. :(
