This is working, but right now it is still being tested by a small group of people. I'm really trying to work out as many bugs as possible before releasing it into the wild.

It currently only works with cough *meedio* cough. But I don't see any reason why a single instance of meedio/mygames couldn't be called from mediaportal.

Edit: here's a screenshot of the unreleased released version's game editor:

One issue that kinda bugs me though is a problem with the rom database, which somehow gets shuffled when i add some new roms to the game directories...

Does it always shuffle when you add new ROMs or just sometimes? Anyone else having this problem? About SCUMM: The filename is required to have an extension, otherwise the filtering function in myEmulators will fail and the file will not show.

To be honest Chreekaar, I wasn't able to figure out why it happens...
All i did was adding a whole bunch of roms the first day i found this plugin and everything worked as expected. some days later i added just one rom to an already existing emulator and the shuffling occured.

So whenever that happens now i simply drop the rom table from the database and let it be rebuild from scratch.

Cheers,
Anthrax

PS: Any suggestions on SCUMM yet? Would love to see this feature inside your plugin one day.

PS2: Thanks again for a wonderful plugin!

This plugin doesn't work for me. It keeps telling me to set the plugin up in MP Configuration when I try to click on it - even though I have set it up and the database has been created! I am using MP 0.2.2.0.

Try to use the SQLite Browser in MP directory and open the file myEmulators.db3 in the database folder to see if it really has been created.

Well I can see the myEmulators.db3 file in the database folder - don't know how to open it and check it's contents though. I can post it here if you want to take a look?

Okay, I have taken a look now and you don't have any emulators set up (at least they have not been inserted in the database file). Try to add just one emulator, then press OK on everything to see if you get any error messages.

Did you save the config? I had some problems due to the issue that the myEmu-configurationwindow was opened to small so that I couldn't see the Save-button. After resizing the window and clicking "save" the plugin works quite better for me. ;)

I have setup some emulators and saved the setup in configuration. Looks like it's not writing the database file correctly for some reason (I've no idea).

OK... I'm not the brightest star around - so:
    - What kind of emulators can this plugin use (PS? PS2? NES? Other)
    - What 3. party emulators are needed or recommended?

I found an interest of this plugin, after playing Sing Star yesterday.... now that would make MP even more "party friendly" (and: no, I can't sing - but yes: we had some drinks).

Perhaps first post in this thread could be updated? This thread is getting loooong! :D

All emulators that can start a game from the command line. The plugin just launches the path you have selected in the setup for your emulator, with the ROM path of the game you have selected as an argument.
