StreamedMP skin xml

Hi all,

Looks like Chreekar has been busy making changes to the plugin and to incorporate some new features as well as some of the features I added - awsome! Thanks! I have not had time to test my latest StreamedMP skin file with myEmulators 3.0. I'll post it here and if someone wold like to test that would likely get it done more quickly than if ya'll need to wait for me :sorry:

Export/Import still doesnt work for me im sending current database file:
Ofcourse first i was delete old database v3 and plugin create new one.
But export/import doesnt work.

I have some ideas and questions regarding my developing skin skills

- It would be great if you could program a feature to set for the emulator choosing which format the covers are: examples like; DVD, CD and Landscape? (For SNES & N64 roms) It just has to work as different sub-groups, and the skin would tell the size of the cover image.
- Also a separate group for the emulators view, so we could have a different layout there, and maybe a description option for each console/emulator.


- And i wonder how to call for the current game title, genre, grade and console/emultor titel (if possible) in the skin xml. I really want this to complete my StreamdMP skin. See this thread for more details : https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/skins-50/help-myemulators-skin-streamedmp-52289/

Im pretty sure - a export import problem is somewhere in my gamebase
I was added only selected 10 amiga games, filled with every cell........ and export working.
But if a reason is one from thousands my atari 8bit games/demos i give up =)
Other reason could be a hugest of my database.

In many games are used a [ ] ( ) ' in name i.e.: Arkanoid (1987)[cr][t].atr so this may be a reason. Im looking

I added to 10 Amiga games only my atari games section, filled few games description and export stuck
Export just exporting only my amiga games fields so reason is somewhere in my Atari gamebase

Now im trying to confuse database i just try to use ( ) [ ] signs in amiga game names :>

I'll update the emulator configurations post. With the new functionality it should be a bit shorter than for previous versions...

Strange, a [ ] ( ) in amiga gamenames doesnt collapsed export option. Im stuck at now :/

I tried the new plugin and after i remembered that i have to uncheck Use Quotes in Path (it would be nice if that auto-configured) I got Project 64 working, although every time I exit Project 64 Mediaportal won't work right, the screen never updates (I am still using 1.0 RC3 though, might be the problem). I can hear that the buttons I'm pressing are taking me through menus and stuff but I don't see it update.

PC games work nicely, and I like that I can point it to a shortcut instead of having to browse to every game's exe.

ePSXe has this weird problem that the video won't work, but the sound will, when I'm running two monitors. If I run one monitor it works, or if I run two monitors and don't run mediaportal it works. But even if I'm running mediaportal, then I manually open ePSXe and launch a game through its menus the video doesn't work. It shows the little display in the corner of the screen saying if Analog is off or on but then there's nothing but sound. It seems like it might be a mediaportal problem but I don't know. I can't remember if I actually ran a PSX game with the last version of this plugin.

I noticed that the FAQ it shows in the plugin configuration is outdated, I'm guessing you just forgot to update it to the latest.

I'm also gonna look at the FAQ and maybe update some things within a couple days probably (and I did do an SVN update to get your changes).

hah i found a reason of export issues
if games are in subfolders then export doesnt see it.
when rom folder are:
Amiga - D:\Winuae\Config\ - exported ok
Atari Xl - D:\Atari\Games\ (but in this folder are other folders 0-H I-R and S-Z) - export doesnt see this games, but in database everything (desc and grades) are ok
Atari Xl - D:\Atari\Games\0-H\ - exported ok

Any one else having jpgs that are too large for the image boxes they are in? I am using blue3wide, and didnt know if there had been a small update for the skin that I didnt know about.
