OK - using the test version the bug has now changed to similar to what you found

This time Mediaportal locked with the small TV window in the corner- but the music was playing. It would not respond to any command. Had to use task manager to stop the process

Just had a thought. As I mentioned in an earlier post I have a workaround that works OK.

With One button disabled I select the music folder- right click and add all to playlist. I do this manually whenever I add tracks to the DB. Then via remote macro I do the following

My Music
f1 to pull up play list.
Left direction (pulls up menu)
Down direction (highlights shuffle)
Ok (shuffles)
Play

The difference here is that the playlist already exists. I wonder if its the creation of the playlist that causes the issue. Maybe MP needs longer to finish making the playlist than I allow it when using one button via the remote.

MY Music DB has about 3000 songs. I have One Button set to select 500 tracks

But what, if you STop MyTV?
What's the reason for going to Home and have TV still playing?
Hit the stop button and then the Play Button.

Is that still killing MP?

nope, the above shouldn't be a problem.

Sorry I misunderstood- I thought you had added the stop command inside one button

so now I should do
Start MP
My Tv
Stop
Home
Play
Right? I'll try this when I get home tonight

Yes, i have done so.
And for me it works now.

But please try with pressing "Stop" first, when you return from MyTV to Home, before you use Play to activate the Onebutton action.

Ok its fixed.
I actually changed the order a little

Using your new version - after MP is started the remote macro for one button does the following:
Home
Stop
Play

That way if I am switching from another function - that function is stopped before one button is invoked. If I am resuming from S3 the stop command is ignored and it works perfectly.

I've now done 10 switches from tv to one button and back again with no hangs

So in this example the sequence I used to test was
My Tv (MP is set to go straight to live TV)
Home (so I don't get prompted to stop live TV when the next command is sent)
Stop
Play

and I just repeat this cycle
