one dish with 2 lnbs and one cabl (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I have installed yesterday a new satellite dish with 2 lnbs . both lnbs are feeding on a diseqc 2x1 and merged on one cable.

i am now trying to tune/scan the channels on mediaportal but one satellite is not working.


when i try to scan/tune i select on the tv server setting

sat: 1
diseqc: level1AA
Band : KU-linear
Satellite: Hotbird 13°

sat: 2
diseqc: level1AB
Band : KU-linear
Satellite: 28.2°

sat 1 is scanned normally, while sat 2 has no signal.

I have tried to do the same with another software and same setting is working fine.

am i missing anything?

DiSEqC must be supported on a per-vendor basis as each vendor has their own interface for supporting it.
So for that reason I ask: what brand and model of tuner are you using?

-Videomate s350, on this 1st lnb is working as per setting above while 2nd lnb in not tuning or scanning.
-blackgold 3540, on this both lnb are not working.

As I said in my previous post, the videomate is working perfectly with a different software (dvblink)

If you check our wiki you will see that DiSEqC is not supported with either of those two tuners:

...but before you give up... I can certainly help with the Blackgold and I may be able to help with the Compro (confidence 80%) if you are willing to use an experimental version of MP.

What do I mean by experimental?
I mean that you effectively get a pre-release version of MP 1.4.
Stability is as good or better than MP 1.3 alpha.
You can use any MP plugin that is compatible with MP 1.3.
You get support from me.
The biggest downside is that you will not be able to upgrade without reinstall.

The choice is yours.
Please feel free to ask if anything is not clear.

If the new version will avoid me changing software or tv tuner it will be great.

hi mm,

i have installed mediaportal 1.4 and tried compro plugin.

Diseqc is not working with Videomate S350 (see log attached).

I haven't tried with the blackgold 3540 yet (i will give it a try tomorrow).

please let me know if there is anything i can do?

Hi,

mm Diseqc is now working fine.

the only doubt i have is on the number of channels the videomate s350 was able to find on the 2nd lnb.

later this evening i will try to scan the same satellites with the blackgold and see if there is any difference.

in the meanwhile, find attached log v2.
