Online Update Scan ran during Video playback, made everything jerky (1 Viewer)

Hi

Last night i was watching a video from myvideos, then the .avi video became rather jerky. I stopped the video, restarted the video, fastforwarded rewind, still jerky. i then tried to playback a recorded tv show, also jerky

I checked the mediaportal logs to see if anything was happening when it started going jerky, and the only thing i found was mytvseries had started a Online Update Scan when the video jerkyness started

In the end i had to close the mediaportal application and reopen to fix the jerky playback

Maybe the online update scan shouldnt run during video playback?

have you set the "automatically download updated data..." in the "Online Data" section of the myTvseries config to run every hour ? I've got mine set every 12hour.

Mine is also set to 12 hours, but maybe it shouldnt run during video playback like the File Watcher?

We can look into making an option 'Run local scan' and Run online scan' only execute once playback is finished if scheduled to run during playback.

You can add an enhancement request on the tracker.
