Installed the plugin, but having issues. After starting the plugin I get,

"missing or invalid file:c:\program files\team mediaportal\mediaportal\skin\xface\myonlinevideos.xml"

Did a seach on my HDD, no such file found.

Also, If I go to the MP config, and MPInstaller, trying to uninstall thru the GUI I get "invalid package!".

Running MP 1.0.2 and Xface 1.8.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Well the error says it all! There is no skinfile for this plugin on the skin you are using (XFace). You should have already seen it when installing that currently only Blue3, Blue3Wide and StreamedMP are supported.

I don't know why the uninstall gives an error though. I works on my test machine.

Guys, quick question..
When I open up an apple trailer, it loads up, runs the first few seconds, and then stutters terribly (like a frame by frame slideshow)
All of the other online vids on this plugin seem to work fine.

Any clues would be fab! Thanks

hey, did you change the max resolution for apple trailers in the configuration settings for the onlinvideos plugin? it might be set at too high of a resolution (1080p or 720p).

Yeah I found I had to drop back the the "Large" setting to get these to run smoothly. Pretty sure its a bandwidth issue.

Interestingly, I found that if I suffered through one stuttered playback, the next time I played the clip it ran fine. So the stream must get cached or something.

During the installation it gives me the option to select skin, Xface is listed and "pre checked", this is why I though it was supported.

Thank you Offbyone; I can confirm that 8.5 did fix the empty list problem for me, although the plugin does still throw up "invalid plugin" if you try to uninstall/reinstall it from the MPI section of MP's plugin config.

danke für die schnelle Antwort.
Das relict Plugin hatte ich auch schon im Einsatz. Hier konnte mann in der Konfiguration des Plugins die Bandbreite einstellen.
Leider hat das nicht funktioniert. Die Videos wurden immer in der höchsten Qualität (DLS2000) abgespielt.
Es wäre schön wenn es dafür in deiner Lösung irgendwann eine Lösung gibt.
Noch ein Hinweis wenn man die ZDF Mediathek z.B über Firefox dann wird ein Cookie angelegt indem die Bandbreite steht.
Vielleicht wird diese ja auch bei deiner Lösung so realisiert. Dann könnte man ja als Übergangslösung den Cookie ändern.

Oh, it does give you the option to select the xface skin? In that case, that's a bug of the MPI Installer, because I should not allow you to select a skin for which there are not files in the mpi package!

using 1.0.1 latest version of the plug in.

whenever i click on a trailer/youtube clip i get the loading bar for a few seconds and then nothing happens..

any ideas?..

I have exactly the same issue. No playback with the latest version (i.e. 0.8.5). I did not have any issues with previous ones (i.e. 0.8.4 and before). Running MP 1.0.2, Vista, EVR. I will post logs later, when I get home.

I am workign on the playback mode to get it working on all systems. I forced the plugin to always use internal player, no vlc or whatever. This means you need direct show codecs and splitters installed to handle flv. Do you know how the playback worked in 0.8.4? (VLC or Codecs)
