I am workign on the playback mode to get it working on all systems. I forced the plugin to always use internal player, no vlc or whatever. This means you need direct show codecs and splitters installed to handle flv. Do you know how the playback worked in 0.8.4? (VLC or Codecs)

flv was handled in 0.8.4 via vlc. However, mp4 was not (was through direct show codecs).

My codec configuration is: CCCP, with Haali disabled for MP4 splitting. Flv and MP4 splitting are dealt by the filters in this thread. Also, h.264 decoding is done by coreavc. Hope this helps.

Hm, I see you are using 1.0.0.0
There is an error from an internal component, that might have changed. I don't know. Anyone else with MediaPortal 1.0.0.0 having this in their logs:

    System.MissingFieldException: ....... "MediaPortal.Player.VideoPlayerVMR7.aacaudioCodecFilter"

    zmanuel:
I changed the internal playback to only use the internal player and no external ones, so vlc player won't work. You can enabling FLV in ffdshow video codec setup.

ffdshow with almost all audio codecs enabled should work best (does on my system)

just out of curiosity, can you do me a favor and see if either of these movies work in youtube? i'm not at home, so i'm not sure of the name, but i know one was a van damme movie, and also the movie "carrie". both of them gave me the audio codec error. they were both found in the "movies" category in youtube. it seems like most of the other sites and even other youtube videos work fine, just a bunch of the movies were giving me trouble. if they both work for everyone else i don't think i'll be able to sleep until i fix it. i'm neurotic like that...

You need flvsplitter 1.05 in order to get it working, at least from my experience
