YouTube Favotires & Search

Hi:

I'm having an issue with my YouTube Favorites. It was working before, and has suddenly stopped working. I was running 0.9.1, which was working, and all of a sudden, it stopped working. I've upgraded to 0.9.3 and it is still the same.

A bit of history: To get to my YouTube Favorites, I've had to add a feed into the YouTube section : All Channels[YouTube username]/favorites

I tried the feed in my browser and it works, however, when I bring up OnlineVideos wih MP, and navigate to the YouTube favirites link, I get a "no videos found" message. The other youtube links (i.e. top favorites, etc) works and I can play the videos OK.

Is there anyway I can get my YT favorites back? Did I do something wrong?

Also, in the previous versions of OnlineVideos there used to be a YT search, but not anymore. How can I get the Youtube search to work again?

You shouldn't need to add another feed. Just put your username / password into the site configuration, and then use the context menu to go to favourites. Works well here with 0.9.3. The search is in the context menu too.

Thanks for your hints. I tried doing just that, but it didn't seem to work. There is no "favorites" options in my context menu. BTW, I'm using the Aeon Wide skin, therefore I'm wondering could it be because the skin files are outdated. If so, any ideas can I get updated skin files for Aeon Wide, or can I add the context menu to my current skin files?

Yeah you might be out of luck there. Try blue 3 (just to confirm) and see if you still have the problem.

I tried the blue3 skin, and yes I can now see the "Favorites" menu. However, when I select that, the screen just returns to the previous menu/screen showing the Youtube "menu" list - i.e. top favorites, most viewed, etc. It doesn't display my favorites at all, despite me having the correct YouTube username and password in the configuration. Any ideas what could be wrong?

You probably don't have MP4 streams working on your setup properly then. I'd say you are watching you tube with the low quality setting and watching them as FLV instead of mp4. Check your logs when you play a you tube video to confirm.

so when i play them as mp4 the quality gets better?

pcjunk - yes, but it looks like you are already using HQ mp4 streams, so not sure why TedTalks and NASA are not working for you.

wlgspotter - are you absolutely sure the password and id are good and you have some favourites added? Maybe double check through the web interface. Failing that, try posting logs.

well i have no password filled in because i never use the favourites
but nasa or tedtalks nothing worked no picture no sound

Hi all. Just had the weirdest thing... Finally had onlinevideos working iwith all videos and now youtube does not work.. I removded PDVD7 and got it all going great.. Decided to install ArcSoft Total Media and I think it is then that youtube died...

Removed Arcsoft and all other codecs and did a fresh install with no luck what so ever, just can't et you tube to go any more.. I press a video and the system just pauses... System not producing any logs so here is a section of the only log I have... Am able to get out of the pause some times by pressing B.

There are too many codecs added to the graph i guess.
..added filter:CyberLink H.264/AVC Decoder (PDVD9) to graph..
Try without that one or don't select it in the config. The MPC video codec also can handly the mp4 from youtube so maybe they are both trying to decode.
Also there are ffdshow and mpa audio decoders. Same thing....
Having too many codecs installed is never a good idea.
