Sorry, but there is no installation guide listed for this?

How on earth do i use it?

I just have one single unrecognisable file saved to the Hard Drive. I suspect i need something else to accompany it?

You can install the *.mpi file by using the "MediaPortal Extensions Installer" which can be found in the "Team Mediaportal / MediaPortal"-Folder (at least with XP - i have no idea where it is in Vista).

At the moment it is an unrecognisiable file type, so when i click it, it asks what program i want to run it from.

Ill give the MP installer a go.

use the mpi installer in vista its in the same list as mediaportal in programs in your start menu

It is still in active development. What do you want to know if you say alpha, beta?
There is no 1.0, because its still subject to a lot of change. But nethertheless quite usable. It won't brake anything on you system, so just give it a try...

Can confirm it. For me it worked from the first day on without crashes and as expected. Get my cinemas, dates, times, trailers, infos etc. A great plugin. to offbyone!

Am I the only one having these issues? Thank you in advance.

I am getting some strange errors with the latest OnlineVideos. Namely, if I stop a video and then, within a second or so, I start another one, MediaPortal totally freezes and there is no way to get back the control, other than by killing it. The log file reports:

Could somebody please help me with this? I understand that, if the TCP connection has not been terminated for whatever reason, MP will not open a new connection, but freezing MP is a big inconvenience.

This error you are getting comes from initializing a socket in the Init method of the plugin. But this method should only be called once, when MediaPortal starts. It's part of the rtmp restreamed as http testing I've implemented. The server uses port 20004 hardcoded at the moment. You either have something on your system that already is listening on that port or starting MediaPortal twice?

I actually tried using another skin (xface or something like that) and the #realeasedate and so errors in Onlinevideos was gone.

Is anyone having the same problem with Black & White 1080 and is there a new skinfile for Onlinevideos somewhere?
