Anyone else got problems with the Swedish svtplay and OnlineVideos v0.18 ? I don't know if the site has changed but at least the url below does not work.

Many of the sources will show the categories but then these folders will be empty.

I have this problem too, specifically with "ARD Das Erste". Any clues as to why this is so would be helpful. With MP 1.02 and Online Videos 0.13 I was still seeing content listed for ARD.

Ok, just found this thread about installing SAF;

... I still cant get this to work. Just keep getting an 'unable to play' pop-up everytime i select a video to play.

I have installed SAF 4.0 final (unlocked) and can watch most of the videos I can find in Online Videos. It is important to read the first post carefully and follow the instructions there. Also, some kinds of videos may require additional components. For example, you need to install the Adobe Flash Player plugin for Inernet Explore in order to view FLVs.

P.S. Here is a bit more detail:
A few other channels are empty or have empty categories: ORF1 for example shows no content at all right now.
Neither ARD nor ORF show any error messages, but there are also a few channels which sho a pop-up "cannot download categories".
Most of the videos which list play perfectly, with a few exceptions. The error messages are generally to the effect of simply "cannot play" or "wrong URL". However, what is really nasty is that a video on the "BREAK - Home Page" first hunf and then crashed MP. Attached are logfiles taken during the hang (just before crash). Sorry that they are so "dirty". I'll try to make "clean" ones for the individual cases later.

P.P.S Attached are also logs from the crash (paradoxically MediaPortalLogs_20_03_10.zip).

Orf + ARD are broken at 0.17 release, we fixed them in current svn.

using the latest SVN i have noticed these small glitches:

* in miro, when you open category (let's say "Animals"), there are subcategories listed and some items in the facade have default folder image, some have downloaded image and they should all have downloaded image (when you open subcategory and go back all facade icons are ok). looks like downloader is downloading the images but they aren't updated on the facade.

* in apple trailers, i think you might be getting errors on titles with strange characters.. for example, i've tested "CA$H" and got no videos where in MyTrailers plugin i get one trailer and also "Hey Hey It's Esther Blueburger" and i get "Error getting video details" or for "Brooklyn's Finest" no videos. But then again, for "When You're Strange" i got one trailer so i'm not sure what the issue could be but you might wanna check it

PS. I'd just like to check, is anyone using SAF 5 and Windows 7? For me, it takes a long long time before playback of videos is started, seems like the video is downloaded first, then played.. Also i have issues on playing MOV trailers but only those that are not HD.. SAF5 on WinXP works like a charm, tested now..

Just wanted to say: Thx for testing! You might have to be promoted to OnlineVideos Tester!

I have noticed the thumbnail problem as well (on Youtube), but seems the Texturemanager is doing a cleanup in the middle somewhere ... and I don't know why. Maybe some MediaPortal code guru can tell me how it is supposed to work
I'll check the AppleProblem, but might be better to push the 0.18 release and use the new Updater functionality for that ^^

Oh, yeah, great job on the updater!

Yesterday i was doing automatic update on start, it was kindof slow and in the middle i got timeout message.. But perhaps that's fixed now already..

I have couple of more even smaller glitches to add:

* when apple trailers details are shown, #itemcount is not updated for facade id 51 (it still shows the count from the movie list)
* again, in apple trailers, i would like facade 51 items to be paired with movie cover image or maybe even better "defaultVideo.png" (exists in every skin)..
* when there is thumbnail or description of the video available, why don't you fill it when the video is played.. title is filled but other properties aren't..

What are those properties that you need to be filled? (I am not a skinner and there is not really a big wiki what I should set from the plugin, or is there?)

this is from the code from MyTrailers.. these properties are filled after 2 seconds after g_player has started:

mind you, this is for trailers.. for other videos, you should fill .Title (you do it already i think), .Plot (with description, if existent) and .Thumb (with video thumb, if existent)..

Just tested

* when i play the video and open OSD, none of the properties are filled, i first have to go out of full screen video, then back to see them on OSD. i've noticed that you called setguiproperties method only onpageload and not when video starts..

otherwise properties are filled nicely
