I think that is not (yet) possible...
One thing to consider is: what do you expect if the preferred resolution isn't available for a given video?
Pick the closest? one, show dialog? others?
Highest res sounds good, but an option for Max res would be a good thing to have as well as an option to show resolution selection on videos.

    That would be fairly easy.
I can't remember seeing that left alignment myself (maybe got the wrong video?) but can you share a link or videoid or something so I have a good testcase?
I still see most of closed captions are left aligned. For example, these ones are left aligned when playing through MediaPortal OnlineVideos:

    or
    or

If you save the video in MediaPortal, it will also save an srt file that will show the alignment:

    align:start position:0%

    meaning left alignment in MediaPortal.
I can send more examples, if you need.

    Please help!

I'm sorry, this completely slipped my mind, thanks for the reminder!
    It should be fixed now

I noticed some videos skip some parts of subtitles in MediaPortal. For example, these videos:

I hope you will be able to reproduce and fix the problem.

This is what I thought, but not. Take, for example, this video:
It shows the selection of 1080p, 720p, 360p and 144p resolutions in YouTube in the web browser.
But in MediaPortal Online Videos it immediately plays in 360p without asking for a different resolution.
And it still doesn't show the subtitles correctly: always one line instead of two lines, missing 50% of the information.
