Did you install the new filter?
Did Onlinevideos 2.0 work before the upgrade, or did you have an older version then?
Can you play videos from other sites correctly?

I have not installed the new filter, do I need to?
MP1 was not installed on my Win 7, played with MP2 a couple of times but was using WMC.
I have tried several German and non-German sites all fail with No URL EXCEPT those in Global Music which seem to play OK!

Don't know if filter was correctly installed during OV 2.0 installation. Those global music videos, are those audio only?

I think there's a test section somewhere in the onlinevideos configuration, can you try that?
My best guess still is a missing filter, you can always try again to install it.
If it still fails then, can you post full logs of an attempt to f.e. play a youtube video? Hopefully there's a hint on what's wrong in there.

Your best guess was absolutely correct, there was no filter installed. I clicked on the link to the filter in the OV config which kicked off the download/install and following that OV is now looking good.
Should the filter have been installed automatically with OV 2.0 install?
P.S. The music in global was video and audio, strange that worked?

I think it should be installed with OV but it can be unchecked in the installer, or it can perhaps fail to install correctly.
Maybe only "simpler" formats can be played without this filter, don't know for sure why the music videos work and others don't.

Anyway: glad to hear your problem is solved

Yup, I agree. Don't know what's the policy about that. I did a fresh installation of MP yesterday, and a lot of sites where missing/disabled. Easiest way to add them is to open mp configuration, OV, add sites, global, sort by language, and than add them in 1 time. Hope that helps!

Can't get it to work with hardware info TV. I used generic site and globalnews. There was no 'global'.

Maybe you can provide a screenshot? :)
Can you post your onlinevideosites.xml and onlinevideos.log?

This all looks more or less ok so (for now) no strange errors etc.
What you need to do is add the site within onlinevideos (not in the configuration!). It's explained here, but perhaps that's not clear enough to understand.
In short: go to onlinevideos in mediaportal, press left to activate hidden menu, goto manage sites, find hardwareinfo and then press enter or menu and choose add.
    Then it should work.

I will take a look. But I think this site won't be in that list, because it also wasn't present between all sites in the configuration of OV.
