These are two different things. In MPExtended we have interfaces for different types of media like movies and tv shows but also one for filesystem access.

Now there are two different ways to add online videos to this. One would be to add another interface for it, that would cause much work or the second we implement just another plugin (which uses the filesystem interface) to add the functionality of ov.

I doubt that would be a good idea. IMHO there's no way to push OV into that jacket.

Dokan isn't relevant for us, we've our own filesystem API that's a lot simpler then a full-featured FS. It basically boils down to an interface where you have nested folders (categories) and files (videos). I think it might indeed make sense to implement OV as an FS provider, but I'd have to look at your API. Might have some time for that this weekend.

I realize that I'm resurrecting an old thread here, but I was searching to see if this functionality existed and came across this thread.

Based on the last post, it looked like something was in the works, but that was over a year ago.

Add me to the list of people who would love if this could be something added to the WebMediaPortal.
