only sound in tv no video Mp frozen (1 Viewer)

Hi i put mp to sleep and used the desktop for around 5 mins pressed the green button on remote and Mp woke up with only sound no video on the tv server also no menu available i had to reboot later to get it working any ideas looked at logs but no erors in the tv server doc

Hi RobTi

I suspect an MP client problem. Your logs aren't all that helpful as the client logs are cut off or missing (because MP was already running). Have you tried applying the "workaround to fix MediaPortal freezing on resume on some systems"? That setting is in MP configuration under "general" -> "startup/resume settings".

[Edit: hang on, when you say "put MP to sleep" do you mean that you sent it to the system tray (minimised)?]

Hi no i am not using the resume workaround, also to close Mp so that i can use the desktop i have mapped a Teletext button on my wmc remote to shut down Mp as the power button on the remote was putting the pc to sleep (even though it was mapped tp exit Mp ) so i press this button and mp dissapears and when i press the gereen wmc button Mp resumes where i had left it , except this time, although i was in the middle of a recording which finished okay.

Okay, I think I understand what you're doing, but I'm afraid I still can't get anything useful from your logs.
Are you using Maya or Blue 3/Default as your skin? I take it that you're able to reproduce this problem when using the watchdog (which turns off plugins and activates the default skin).
