Please note that these guys are illegally making money with the amazing work of the ffmpeg developers.

Aside from that, they use ffmpeg, just like we do, so it won't help us. It might be useful if you could extract the ffmpeg command line they used (I think there is a ffmpeg-servetome.exe in the task manager while streaming), though.

I tried but they are using hardcoded presets. All i got was this:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\ProjectsWithLove\ServeToMe\ffmpeg-servetome.exe" transcode iPhone4 "\\?\C:\Users\lars\Videos\Psycho.ts" "C:\Windows\TEMP\serveToMeEncode.h053c1g3.zvh\midhigh" midhigh 10 5 any any 0 yes Auto default 0 8 both

I know that does not help and what a real ffmpeg command line look like. I just don't get it.
What's the big deal with the command line magic?

Well, that I am not a magician.

Seriously though, there are about 150 different options and if only one of them is incorrect you have a pretty high chance the whole thing doesn't work. It's certainly doable, but I'd be nice if we could use a known-good command line.

Personally I liked the iPIMP ffmpeg settings.

    "C:/Program Files (x86)/iPiMP/Utilities/ffmpeg\ffmpeg.exe" -i - -threads 0 -re -vcodec libx264 -fpre "C:/Program Files (x86)/iPiMP/Utilities/ffmpeg/ffpresets/libx264-veryfast.ffpreset" -g 100 -keyint_min 50 -b 256k -s 480x272 -aspect 480:272 -acodec libfaac -ac 2 -ab 64k -ar 44100 -async 2 -f ism http://127.0.0.1:80/SmoothStream.isml/Streams(SmoothStream)

What I disliked was that they probably illegaly used the smoothstream addon for apache but anyway. I attached the preset files ..

Hi guys, I know I might get slammed for this, especially as it is my first post, but i would say don't worry about streaming for now. There are already tons of apps that can do that. (and if you want live tv streaming, invest in dvblogic and their excellent app) If you can produce an app lets you browse your collection locally on the ipad as well as the tv epg and initiate the command for MP to play it. You will have the first true iPad HTPC solution. All the others miss a feature here and there (tv mainly)

This app would have me switching to MP in a heartbeat
