MCEReplacement driver started working after I updated the driver. I don't know if it was the update or just rebooting, though.
Edit: It's working great now. I had a slight problem with the scroll buttons not working, but it's fine now. Great plugin!

First off, i've read the entire post and i must say i am impressed with the work, in addition to having a bit of a headache from all the new info, i have a quick question.

will this plugin allow me to program the power button on the hauppauge 150MCE remote to turn off/on my tv?

i am using a 27" acer lcd tv as my display and the only thing i need to keep the acer remote for is to turn the damn thing on and off, if i could do it all from the hauppauge remote that would be cat's meow.

will this plugin allow me to program the power button on the hauppauge 150MCE remote to turn off/on my tv?

Should do. Just install the plugin and the replacement driver, and then teach the plugin the On/Off command(s) for the TV, and then set the Power button to blast that code (undex Map MCE Buttons).

I can't say conclusively that it will or will not work. All I can say is that it should. That is one of the intended capabilities of the plugin. There are some things that can cause problems, like IR code compatibility, etc... but it should work, yes.

Give it a try and let us know how you go.

    Cheers,

    MCE replacement and shutdown

I have installed the last release v0.2.0.0 , the last stable update 0.2.0.4 with XP pro SP2 and all the patches, the last release of MCE remote replacement, and your modified MCE remote driver.

I mapped the standard MCE config with the pluggin option, run MP, use the PC button on the remote: the system enter suspend mode and wake up using PC key on the remote. So far so good!

I would like to shutdown the PC in place of suspend, using a different mapping (PowerPC>Shutdown windows) and MP open a TAB with the different options (shutdwown, boot, suspend, hibernate) when I use the PC button on the remote.

How to go directly to shutdwn, using the MCE remote?

If replace the powerdown option by action? I got the same MP tab!

Thanks a lot for your kelp, and many thanks to and-81 for the pluggin.

Just a quick question, is it possible to link Mediaportal startup to IR blasting so the amplifier gets switched on? And when i go to S3 standby that it turns it off?

Thanks eloo - I had searched but probably not very well (shame on me). I didn't turn up the first link which explains that there are different levels of standby. I understood the difference (to me) between standby and hibernate - it was the label S3 that threw me. I can now see it is necessary if there are other levels. The first link was helpful there.

    Cheers
