Here the codes for Force 536

    Thank you.

When I then select 'new' the learning dialog box appears. I provide it with a name and click learn.

It then 'appears' to learn the code and turns reassuringly green. When I press test however, whilst both blasters flash absolutely nothing else happens.

Could you supply me with one of your learned codes so I can have a look at it?

I have tried different buttons, different remotes, switching between blaster 1,2 and both but nothing seems to make any difference.

That suggests that it is not a problem with the transceiver not liking a particular IR code system, but more that the problem is either due to PC hardware incompatibility or software fault.

I can't help feeling I am doing something wrong as despite reading this thread from end to end I can't seem to find anyone else having the same problem.

It doesn't sound like it's your fault.

What version/model of MCE remote do you have? On the under-side of the remote it will say something like:

    Microsoft
    Model: 1039

If you can't see that, look here and tell me which one you have:
    http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/MCE_Remote

The remote on the left is Version 1, this remote is NOT supported by this plugin.
The remote on the right is Version 2, this remote IS supported.

Aside from this, try removing the replacement driver and testing the plugin again, and then try the replacement driver again.

As I said in an earlier post, there are hardware incompatibilities, and i'm working to solve this but it's hard going because I can't duplicate the problem myself.

I did find a modified version of the MceIrApi dll on the HIP site, and hopefully including this in the next build will increase compatibility for some.

The next version will be out as soon as I iron out the bugs in the Event Mapper.

    Good luck!

    Cheers,

I've been having the same problem with my set up. It was working, but after I installed a skin, it stopped. I doubt the skin had anything to do with it though.
It will appear to learn the code, but when testing it, the blaster flashes & nothing happens. If I close the config & try changing channels in MP, the blaster doesn't flash even though I do have the use to change external channels checked.
The thing that gets me is that it was working & just stopped when the only thing different was the skin. I have a feeling it's a driver or dll issue.
I have the 1039 remote, I'm using the svn from I think Dec. 3 (I'm at work) & MCE Replacement Plugin TEST v1.0.1.zip
When I get home, I'll send you a remote code.

    IR code file is attached.

Yep it is a microsoft 1039 (the guy on the right!)

Any light you can shed would be gratefully received otherwise I will keep trying. Needless to say if I get it going I will let you know.

    Cheers

Maybe i can help in this. I had a mce remote before. This one broke and got a replacement. This "new" remote is an RC6 remote (instead of the older RC5) Maybe the internals are slightly altered too (not only the RC coding scheme?)..
    Hope i can help...

I have a Dreambox and a RC6 (Acer OEM) remote with IR reciever (USB) with two blaster outputs. And I cannot get it to work either.
I first tried the Myblast plug-in, and I was able to program the digits with the Dreambox remote, but when I tried in MP with the MCE remote, nothing happened, nothing was blasted. The .log in MP said something along the lines of; " Missing packet for '1'" when it was supposed to change the channel on the Dreambox to channel 1.
And now, it doesn't work with this plug-in either.

Any ideas and/or comments are very welcome.

Thank you very much for this plugin, and-81 (cool avatar, btw!).

I used it to controll my Kreatel 1710 (IP-TV) and all was done in 15 min (without reading any instructions). With fine tuning it all took me about an hour (been fiddeling an extra hour just for fun - trying to speed things up, but STB seems to require 200ms pause).

    A couple of Q:
On my STB I use one digit for the 1-9 ch, and two for above - followed by [OK] (to speed things up.

Plugin: I use "simple" (one?) to avoid sendig unecessary "0"s. I use the "send select"-option (for the [OK]).

Even so, somtimes when I use two digits, ie. 13, it seems that if first changes to "1" for a (very) breef moment, then 13. Any Ideas of why?

    Is the blasters seending:
    1 [OK] - 3 [OK] or 1 - 2 [OK] the way I hvae set it up?
I belive that its the last, and perhaps the pause is too long (but shorter pause doesent work).

Anyway: Thanks a million for this!!!
