Happy Holidays to everybody!!!!

This is the season - a new stable version of MP, 0.8 of MP TV Series and 1.6 of Project Mayhem 3. What else can one wish for?

Well, actually there is one thing missing for me: I don't get the double episode feature to work. How do I have to name my double episodes so that this works?

Thanks
nylonhof

Sorry for quoting myself, but can anyone help me with this?
Thanks

Trying to delete an episode after it is watched doesn't seem to be working for me. Is this feature not working or am I doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated. Great plugin, BTW. Reason I switched from SageTV.

Hate to do this too. Anyone else having this problem? I'm hoping it's something simple that I can fix. Thanks for the great plugin.!

    Firstly hello everyone,
I have been using this plugin for about a week now and LOVE IT! Thanks everyone who has had a hand especily ZeFlash! :D
I have a few things that have been bugging me but I have been putting off opening my mouth for help till I have had time to read the 49 PAGES of posts! anyway I have finaly had time to read them all (its 1:31 in the morning now taken hours! LOL) some of my questions where already answered but a few still remain.

I have been having some problems parsing my files. I store them in the following format:
    Code:
    \<Series>\Series <season>\<series>_-_<season>x<episode>_-_<Title>extra stuff like language etc.<ext>

    e.g.:
    \Smallville\Series 6\Smallville_-_6x01_-_Zod.english.LOL.HDTV.[www.tvu.org.ru].avi

The above example will work fine and it will find the correct info using the regexp:
    Code:
    ^.*?\\?(?<series>[^\\$]+?)(?:s(?<season>[0-1]?\d)e(?<episode>\d\d)|(?<season>(?:[0-1]\d|(?<!\d)\d))x?(?<episode>\d\d))(?!\d)(?:[ .-]?(?:(?<episode2>\d\d(?!\d))|E(?<episode2>\d\d)|(?:\d\d|(?<!\d)\d)x?(?<episode2>\d{2}(?!\d)))|)[ -.]*(?<title>[^\\]*?(?<HR>HR\.)?[^\\]*?)\.(?<ext>[^.]*)$

BUT some of the episodes I get seem to have the first few eppisode names as "6x1" instead of "6x01" and I have worked out after doing a bit of reading on regexp that \d\d is looking for two numbers... BUT I can't work out how to specify 1 OR 2 numbers incase its only 1... Any help would be apreciated.

The other problem is some series I download like CSI New York are on the tvdb as CSI: NY so are not found... I know if I manualy edit the tv series db after telling it to ignore this series and add the correct TV.com id in in place of the "-(random number)" then retry it will work but for others would it be posible to pull back the correct series and season from the directory names and only get the episode number and Title and extension from the file name ignoring the rest so I can change the directory name to "CSI NY" or whatever the episode requires?
OR a way of selecting a series that is not in the list or changing the words it uses to search for the episode and manualy researching?

    Thanks!

P.S. If someone has a decent tutorial on regexp I would be happy to do this my self (I will post the results here for others.)

    Thanks again

    Zas

    Using the expression you provided
    change:
    Code:
    (?<episode>\d\d)
    to:
    Code:
    (?<episode>[0-9]{1,2})

    Basically it says match a digit between [0-9] a minimum of 1 time up to 2 times {1,2}
(note: that text is in the regex twice)

The other problem is some series I download like CSI New York are on the tvdb as CSI: NY so are not found... I know if I manualy edit the tv series db after telling it to ignore this series and add the correct TV.com id in in place of the "-(random number)" then retry it will work but for others would it be posible to pull back the correct series and season from the directory names and only get the episode number and Title and extension from the file name ignoring the rest so I can change the directory name to "CSI NY" or whatever the episode requires?

I think running from the configuration does ask with the option to re-search using text you provide.

Or, if it is predictable, you could use the string replacement option and set "CSI New York" to be replaced with "CSI: NY"

Or, you can change the regex or roll your own regex to pull from the directory names instead of the filename.

P.S. If someone has a decent tutorial on regexp I would be happy to do this my self (I will post the results here for others.)

    Tutorial:
    http://www.regular-expressions.info

Also The Regulator is a cool tool for creating/testing regular expressions:

Thanks Patrick for the quick response!

The regexp worked a charm thanks and as you said I can override the "CSI New York" to "CSI: NY" by just typing it in the top and pressing enter even though the one highlited in the bottom is wrong it still searches again! :)

    THANKS! :)

Right now I would like to put a few surgestions in if I may:

1.) I think it would would better (at lest for me!) if I am in the plugin in MP and a autoscan is going on and I start playing a video the scan should be aborted. (For me it apears that is contunes in the background making my already underpowered MediaPortal system jumpy! I know I need a new system but that ain't going to happen for a while! LOL Not the end of the world but still a surgestion for later!)

2.) I know this was mentioned before but I would like to second it! When in the plugin and it finds a new series but pulls up more than one result for it and asks you what one is correct it could do with having the textbox at the top of the popup window with the title it has sent to the server so you know which series it is looking for and if posible the ability to update the name from FOR EXAMPLE: "CSI New York" to "CSI: NY" ;) and then research like you can in the config.

3.) This is more of a question than a bug (I hope!): I know that the plugin downloads all the banners for a series it finds on TVDB as I can see them in the banners folder. BUT I can't work out how to sellect a different one than it selects on its own. I am sure there is an option I am missing!

I would like to again say how amazing this plugin is and how greatfull I am that ZeFlash and everyone has (and still is! ;)) spending so much of there time on making it was it is. :) :D

    1) That really shouldn't be an issue. The bg scan is running in low priority so it shouldn't interfere at all. Anybody else have this issue? Perhaps it could be lowered to Idle.

    2) Indeed CSI:NY and CSI New York etc is an issue. As suggested the only thing I can recommend right now is to use that replace option. And yes, a textbox inside MP is coming.

    3) You should be able to to switch that inside configuration (sorry, not possible inside MP yet). Just select the series/season you want and select one from the drop-down box. In the next version there will also be the option to display a random banner (prefereing graphical entries for series banners) (so it cycles between them) everytime.

It's holiday time so things are a bit slow. There is another (very cheerful) reason ZeFlash is rather busy these days, but I'll leave it to him to tell you what it is! Suffice to say, Congratulations are in place!

    Hello ZeFlash,

Your plugin is very amazing. I just test it and I can't pass it any more ;)
I'm waiting with impateince that you finish it to add french support for episode summary !!! :D

But I have a little question. In the first TV Series Plugin, they think use this interface :
http://brock.abenweek.net/mp/season.png. Do you think it's possible to use it now with an appropriate skin ? I prefer to ask before leaving in complicated research ;)

Thank you for your work !!!

I will have a play with this and make sure it was this that slowed down my system and not another process. (Mind you it is only a 1ghz system! LOL)

Yer the above surgestion worked I just wanted to make sure that a textbox was in the plan! ;) :D You do realise that no mater how long this is worked on this people will always find extra things to be added! ;) I just wanted to make it clear that I am only making surgestions and not demands! LOL (I am hopping to have more as I use the program thats all! :D )

Thanks found it now! LOL Don't know how I missed it! :p

    :D :D :D :D

See you later when I have had time to test that speed problem some more!

    DKreeK,

this interface layout was unfortunately never implemented in the old plug-in. It would be cool, if this was possible now.
