Hi, Im using 0.9 with no problems. I've just stated using the torrent feature! Awesome! I love it! I did notice something strange. It seemed to download a simpsons season 18 file and it put it in the simpsons season 17 folder??

How dose it work with video files in terms of .avi vs .rar? Will it only find files that are .avi? (So far that has been my experence, maybe just luck??)

Can I be greedy and ask for another feature? It would be neat if the downloaded file could be renamed to a preset format. Otherwise the names are all different. e.g. "The.Simpsons.PDTV.S18E09.LOL-REPACK.AVI" could be renamed automaticly to "The Simpsons.s18e09.avi"

Even greedier!! (More just an idea for the future) Torrent download progress could be aquired from the utorrent webUi and displayed for torrents that are being downloaded.

HUGE thanks to all who contribute to this plug-in. For me it's a massive part of what makes MediaPortal great.

@inker i just installed .net framework version 3.0 and when i set the min. Video Resolution in MP-TVSeries config to 1280x720 and click on the Force button i get the following popup error (see screenshot).
I also have .mkv files and i think those are not scanned.

Also i still can't see any shows in the GUI.

This error i mean :)

Hmm, yes that is one of the errors I thought because of .NET 3.0. Perhaps it depends on the directx update. There is an SDK out for Dec. 2006 which I have installed, perhaps you guys could check if a DX update is available?

Ok by just intalling .NET framework 3.0 will not fix this problem. As you suggested we need to install DX sdk in order to get away with the above error that i posted. I did install the DX SDK dated on Dec 2006 as you suggested. The error went away but i still can not see any difference in the MP GUI. I cannot find the hd.png showing up anywhere.

I set min resolution to 1280x720 and made a force scan and it succefully recognized both .avi and .mkv files with a greater resolution than that. I can see that in the TV Series Config

Any ideas Inker how to make this work?

Thanks for trying. How weird that you need the sdk installed. I'll try to figure it out. In that case, .NET 3.0 probably isnt really needed.

I just see the png wasn't even included in the released file. You can get it here:
    http://mp-tvseries.svn.sourceforge....nk/MP-TVSeries/banners/hdlogo.png?revision=96
and then place it inside your root banners directory.

Talk about a messed up release....

    Sorry guys.

The plugin is only looking for single file AVI releases. Rars won't be shown (which can be a problem sometimes ... but it would be a mess otherwise).

Renaming... well, the thing is, I need to be sure uTorrent won't need to seed that file anymore after it's renamed, right? I could copy but then it doesn't solve the problem of the original file lifespan (delete after it's "fully seeded"?). And there would also be 2 instances of the file. That sounds complicated. So I'd rather leave the renaming alone for now.

About the download folder: right now I'm looking for all the episodes from the series you're downloading, and I use the folder of the first one I find.. So in your case I guess the first episode is season 17, and therefore the new file goes there too.
That's an oversight from me; I put all the files of a series in a folder, but I don't have a folder for each season.
I'll tweak that in the next release.

About the torrent progress, I'll take a look at the torrent plugin and see if interactions are possible.

It's a good news, I post the same problem in a previously message ;)

A suggestion. It's possible to download the file in a temporary folder ? If yes, when the download is finish, we move the file to the good directory and we can rename it with a template like int the recording custom path and filename : Ex : %title%\Saison %series%\%title% - %series%x%episode% - %name%
Also, the file is not visible from the TV Plugin and we know that is not finish. We can add a flag to know that this episode is curently downloading.

    Ok, i explain 3 lines ago ;)

If it's work, it was a very good news :p

    Thank's for your good job.
