structure: \series\season\series.sseasoneepisode.randomcrap.avi

if i use a simple expression without the directories:

<series>.s<season>e<episode>.<>.<ext> it works fine

EXCEPT it asks me what series is '1' '2' '3' ... 'n' supposed to be, n being the highest season count in my directory structure, its annoying the hell out of me

edit:
and if i add \<series>\<season>\ infront of the exp i mentioned earlier, it wont parse anything

Ok, cheers for the info Keith. Installed and imported data for a couple of my series.

Now i have another problem :( In MP when i go to the tv series module, i do not see any banners or text or listings at all. *sigh*

Any ideas ??

Try go into the configuration and uncheck the option "Show only episodes with a matching local file".
    It worked for me.

ok got one series parsed (band of brothers) with the following naming convention:
    Band of Brothers - 01x01 - Currahee.avi

BUT i get nothing in MP itself, plugin starts, i just see an empty page with view button and back button, according to the plugin and the db the series was parsed properly

tried: stable mp + bluetwo and latest svn with bluetwo wide, to no avail

hah, finally got it to work somewhat

    question to the dev:

as i have lots and lots of series in different naming models, is it possible to to set one regexp/simple matcher per share folder or does the program test all checked ones in the event of new episodes

edit: also, was there a multiepisode system yet
edit2: just noticed the svn version doesnt support any other than bluetwo skins which i hate, does this plugin work with the stable releases?

Ok, thanks for that. I have unticked the the box and now it displays all the files.
By unticking this box i get all the seasons, even the ones i do not have files for.
Is the reason that my files can not be displayed with the option tick, because my files are hosted on a network pc ?? Maybe this is a flaw in the plugin ?

Thanks heaps for all the today. Very speedy replies ;)

Ok people, if you want me to be able to fix this weird "nothing's showing" problem everyone is having except myself, I need more information.

Give me an idea of where you put your video files (local disk? CD / DVD? remote disk? how is the disk shared? are you using network drives or direct remote names like \\server\path ?), and the structure of your series.

Then the exact steps you're using, from scratch.
I just tried with an empty DB, parsing a local folder with various formats, all expressions checked, no change to any settings (ie, show only local files checked)
Everything went fine, all series / episodes are showing as expected.
So it has to be something about where it imports from.. otherwise I'm puzzled.

For me it's a firewire external HDD, which is a local drive.
File path is: F:\shows\The 4400\the 4400 - [1x01] Pilot (XviD asd).avi which parses without an issue.
There is not much more info I can give you.. No errors in the logs, nothing out of oridinary. Also recreated the database just to make sure it's a clean install.
Steps... Open configuration of the plugin, add the path f:\shows and then scan (I can see the files in the DB afterwards).
Open MP, go to My plugins.. Open the plugin nothing shows... (only the back and view buttons show and the scroll shows page 1/1 where normally it should show 1/2 and list of the shows)
Change the mentioned setting in config, reopen MP and everything works as it should.

Ok, for me the files are on a secord pc. Using normal network sharing\\Cockbag\tv shows\CSI as an example. All my files are named like this CSI S07E01.avi
The plugin has no issues finding the files. It works very very good.
I love this plugin so much :)
