    Hi zeflash,

testing atm. Two things came up :
    1. It still says 0.6b ;-)
    2. Didn´t test the torrent thing, just wondering if you could support the major torrent site for TV Episodes : www.xtvi.com - afaik the largest torrent-TV Eps site.

    1) yeah I know, I just remembered about that when I was already uploading things .. Given the whole release process takes 30 minutes I just "WTFed" it away!
    2) well your major torrent site doesn't enable me to search for a specific season/episode, so instead I would have to go through all the list ... not very convenient IMHO
I'll see if it has better results than others though. Might be interesting.

    New release!
Posted here with delay, and available on sourceforge.

    0.7
    lotsa new things.
    - fixed parsing for remote drivers (thanks John_Galt!)
    - fixed import on huge DBs, putting back batch episode updates (thanks Bobb25!)
    - new feature: subtitles retrieval from www.forom.com (mostly for french users like me I guess, even though there are english or other subtitles there)
    - new feature: torrent search & download. You need uTorrent to use that feature.

Given those new features are pretty dependent on tons of parameters, I can just hope it'll work for most people, and for a reasonable time. Your mileage may vary, that's what they say :)

Absolutely legend! I will install after work tonight and give it a bash... gives me a reason not to visit the inlaws! :D

    New version works for me!

An issue i've been having with it for a while, when i hit the volume up button on my remote it starts the show. Can anyone else confirm this? Do i have to edit my remote settings to fix it?

Also hope it's not to early to request something. How about a random feature. I have so many shows and eps, i dont really care what i watch. It would be cool if it would pick one randomly. Just a thought.

    Great work!

    Excellent work!!!
Especially the idea with subs integration.. maybe you could port this over to the normal Videos plugin??

Also.. for sub integration.... (while i'm still at it...)
If you've ever hear of http://www.opensubtitles.org/ , that could be a nice site to integrate in the plugin, as it has more languages...

These are the features they support (copy n'paste from their site)
    # - get search results by e-mail or rss
    # - site is "open" (you can get every page as parseable XML)
    # - support for coding web-applications (autodownload, upload)
    # - can act as a subtitle server for other subtitle sites

So it looks as an ideal candidate for a project like the TV-Series :)

    Keep up the good work!

    0.7 test results

    Hi zeflash!

Started 'clean' with no database/config. First 3 log entries:

    12/15/2006 12:34:52 AM - Sucessfully opened database 'C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Database\TVSeriesDatabase4.db3'.
    12/15/2006 12:34:55 AM - **** Plugin started in configuration mode ***
    12/15/2006 12:34:56 AM - Commit failed on this command: <select * from torrent order by ID> (SQL:TVSeriesDatabase4.db3 cmd:sqlite3_prep
are16:pvm=null err:ERROR detailed:no such table: torrent query:select * from torrent order by ID).

Not sure the 3rd log entry is a concern, but there it is ...

You'll be happy to learn that the mass import worked - 5437 episodes imported in 17 minutes and 50 secs. There were no log entries that looked like errors other than the above. All episode summaries were also imported.

I played with all of the settings/features I could, and frankly I was unable to break it.

    Congratulations, and :D

Impressive, works lika a charm as always ...

... but there is one thing though, don't know if its a feature or a bug :)

Right now there is an "option" in the plugin whether it should show episodes from a season without an online episode or not which is hardcoded to true (only show episodes if the season has online episodes) .
Would it be possible to make this an user-selecteable option instead or is it the meaning that we have to add all our information to zsori's database? I have some series (mainly swedish) that don't exist on tv.com and where I have only one or a few episodes so I don't think it is worth adding them but I still like to use MyTVSeries to organize the files on my computer.

I don't want to touch the default video module. I'd rather make a new one (but that's not going to happen anytime soon).
I checked opensubtitles.org; it's cool that is has more languages, but the problem is they are not really as up-to-date as others. It can be considered though.

Ah yes; I know what it's about. I'll have to check if it's not breaking the torrent loading area for everyone! It probably is. In that case, 0.7b ...

And I want to thank you for the episode summary fix, I didn't reread the whole thread and got confused. So thanks to you and to Bobb25 :)

Ok, I think I see the problem. There are 2 different flags in that case: 1 is the flag that tells the plugin to not even try to import a series again; 2 is a flag that tells the plugin to hide this series.
I assumed that if someone would skip a series, it would also mean that this series should not be shown.
If that's not the case you still have the option to unhide a series; in the configuration window, details tab, check the "show hidden items" checkbox. Your hidden/skipped series should show up. Right click on it and unhide.

    Great work!

About your remote issue, it all depends what your volume up button does (is it mapped with something like HIP / girder? is it handled by MP?).
The plugin starts playback on the "Clicked" event. Given you're the only one with that problem I'll assume it's some kind of misconfiguration on your system and not a plugin problem :)

About the random play ... might be cool to have that. Someone (inker!!) should keep a list of those suggestions.
