I just loaded on 0.7... great work.... I loaded utorrent on and set it up under extras.... I am unable to find out how to search on the torrents.... I will keep looking.

From the configuration window, right click on an episode and select torrent.
Obviously doing that on episodes you don't already have is not very interesting (although you could want to download HR versions of a show you already have). To do that on an episode you don't already have, you need to do an online parsing with full retrieval of the series info.

From the MP window, context click an episode you don't already have (so you need to not filter out episodes without local files), and choose load via torrent.

Ok, I think I see the problem. There are 2 different flags in that case: 1 is the flag that tells the plugin to not even try to import a series again; 2 is a flag that tells the plugin to hide this series.
I assumed that if someone would skip a series, it would also mean that this series should not be shown.
If that's not the case you still have the option to unhide a series; in the configuration window, details tab, check the "show hidden items" checkbox. Your hidden/skipped series should show up. Right click on it and unhide.

I still don't understand most of the code but I think you are referring to the variables local_series.Scan_Ignore and local_series.Hidden in the database. The variable that seems to create my trouble is seasons.HasOnlineEpisodes

Right now I have two shows to test with, one episode of CSI and one of Nisse Hult (a swedish program).
After I parse them, and select skip never ask on Nisse Hult I will only see CSI and if I press the + I can see the season and episode. If I enable Show Hidden Items I can see Nisse Hult in italics but no + sign to enable me to see the season and episode. Its the same if I unhide it.

However, if I change line 402 in GUIConfiguration.cs to DBSeason.Get(..., false, false, ...)); (before it was false,true) it works as you say and I can hide/unhide and see episodes and everything. (It is the bool bOnlineEpisodesOnly in the procedure (or what it is called these days ) DbSeason.Get )
The same change in TVSeriesPlugin.cs line 567 makes it work in mediaportal as well.
I hope this explaination is understandable

New version works for me!

An issue i've been having with it for a while, when i hit the volume up button on my remote it starts the show. Can anyone else confirm this? Do i have to edit my remote settings to fix it?

Also hope it's not to early to request something. How about a random feature. I have so many shows and eps, i dont really care what i watch. It would be cool if it would pick one randomly. Just a thought.

About your remote issue, it all depends what your volume up button does (is it mapped with something like HIP / girder? is it handled by MP?).
The plugin starts playback on the "Clicked" event. Given you're the only one with that problem I'll assume it's some kind of misconfiguration on your system and not a plugin problem

Yeah i thought the same thing. I looked in my remote settings, it only has 1 option configured for the volume+ button, which is to turn up the volume. This plugin is the only one that it does it for. When i'm at the main tv series plugin, i click the vol+ and it goes to that show, then again for a season, etc... Any other ideas?

Found something - it may just be cosmetic, and it does not seem to affect the operation of the skin, but saw this in the log tonight:

Hey I tried the latest SVN (actually I checked out the sources & built it) and I don't get any bitmap properly displayed.
Anyone experiencing the same thing?

Tried todays SVN with B2W and release 0.7 - works great!
Just one possible improvements: then playing music the album cover blocks the text that is scrolling then you selected a serie or episode, maybe a solution could be to just dont show the cover (for exemple in the weather plugin the cover isnt showed (but the music of course playing))?!
And also add this plugin to the SVN............

Hi,

just found a "bug" ( I don´t know if skin or plugin related) :

When searching for new shows from inside MP and a show is found which cannot directly be recognized, MP asks which show this is. So far so good. I get a number of series, which might be fitting, but I cannot see the original file....so I don´t know which file is asked for...kind of annoying to just guess the series... ;-)

Not so bad, but for future fixing.

Using MP svn from dec. 6th, MP-TVSeries 0.7 and MePo Wide green (for svn)

hey zeflash - great work on the plugin so far. definitely one of my most-used functions in mp!
I've got a feature request to make - I've got a bunch of tv shows i've bought the dvd box sets of and it would be great to be able to make these appear in the plugin too. What i'm thinking is if the plugin scanned for .xml files which match the same naming conventions as avi eps (eg... arrested.development.s02e10.xml). Then, inside these xml files would be something like:

<discname>Arrested Development Season 2 Disc 2</discname>
<dvdchapter>5</dvdchapter>

So, I could go and create a bunch of xml files for each dvd box set I own, and the plugin would add them in the normal way to the gui. But when I select an episode on dvd to play, it asks me to insert "discname", and starts playing at dvdchapter.
While it would be a bit of work creating the xml files in the first place, it would mean you'd only need to do it once - if you had to reinstall mp or install a new version of the tv series plugin, you wouldn't lose all the work you'd done!

What are your thoughts?
