I use mediaportal mainly to watch Divx movies. A lot of them is splitted into 2 discs.
Is it possible that mediaportal plays the first disc and then the second one?
If so what parameters should I put in?

Yes it's possible, You have to put your files on disk and their name must be practically identical except the strings of characters '-cdx' or '-discx' (where x identify the number of the file).
For example eros-cd1.avi and eros-cd2.avi will be considered as the same video and added to one playlist and the plugin will play the two videos as the same movie. In your Ant database, you only put the filename of the first file; of course the two files must be stored at the same place.
It's the same thing in the standard Video plugin.

myFilm2.2.2 with MP2RC04 does not work???

sorry feel myself stupid now ... Don't know, waht i make wrong!? :twisted:

I installed "mesFilms.dll" in the "plugins/Windows/" folder - i also tried renaming it to "myFilms.dll", but no luck !!!
The xml.files copied into the Skins-Folders...
I configerea the "sample.amc" to try it out, an the rest options i let "none"
I can see the "Films" button, but when i klick it, nothing happens, no submenu opens!
I am with MP2RC4 and actual svn (from last night)!
I use AntMovieCatalog (v3.5.0.2)

What the hell am i doing wrong???

Pls help, cause i love to use this plug, because it should word with original .amc, so no need to create any special xml thing .....

There is no need to rename the .dll to MyFilms

You need to save the file in .XML format from ANT and configure the plugin in Media Portal to point to this XML file. The default location would be "C:\Program Files\Ant Movie Catalog\Catalogs\sample.xml"

Which skin are you using? The plugin come configured for a couple of skins one being "Blue Two"

I'm sooo ashamed , what a stupid .....
Sure i had to save as .xml-file first and point MP against that .xml-Database! Sorry for my blindness..... and Thanks for help! Now it is working, now i will play a bit around with all the features!!!!

Hello All,

Thank you for the useful information. I am new to the entire Mediaportal program, so please excuse my ignorance on some issues. I have installed the MyFilms plug in and got it to recognize movies from ANT. The problem I am having is when I Play the movie: (my movies are on my hard drive F:\ under various folder names) the screen goes black. If I return to Mediaportal the minimized view of the movie is black and reads D: under it. What do I have to do do remedy this problem?

You have to choose an item of your ANT database that you don't actually use to indiacte the filename of each movie. In the setup plugin, just indicate the item choosen with the 'ANT storage item info' parameter

I'm still having the same problem as tx_guy. With movies stored on the Hard Disk. The field is I believe correct in ANT the movie is selected to play, the screen goes black but there is no playback of the the movie.

Coverart Images

Great plugin but am having trouble getting the coverart images to display anywhere.

I can export them from Ant and I know how specify their location in the plugin but cant seem to get them to display.

Is there a special naming convention required (image name matching a particular field) or image format?

Can you read it with the standard Video plugin ? If not it's maybe a codec problem...
I notice another problem with the new RC4 version, sometimes with the ProjectX skin I have the same symptom when reading a movie if the button panel overlay is visible. I have to pass in fullscreen to see the movie.... If the buttons are visibles, the scrren remains black

Why do yo export them ?
When you register your database as an XML file the export is automactly made and the filename information of your images are correctly stored in the XML file....
Can you take a look on your XML file to see if the filename of each movie is correctly filled ? At the end of each movie in your XML file see if you have something like that :
Picture="Divx_Perso_5.jpg"
If pictures are visible with ANT they should be with the plugin...
