    The great thing about this discussion is when we keep pushing the idea forward like this, and really polish it. I really like the stamp idea, however, it's kinda weird using the word "new" in it. Not all of your latest database entries is brand new, just because you haven't seen it yet. I have lot's of films I haven't yet watched from the 1960's, I wouldn't want to label them "new". :D

    Moving the icons to the left of the screen really hit the spot for the icons-view in Moving Pictures though.

    Hi,

    camoura;
    The screen you made look alot like the version I have running on my laptop but without borders;) And what we are talking about here is the Thums view not the filmstrip view (the one with the window). The filmstrip will remain as you seen it.

    About the watched/unwated discussion;
    Are you sure that this can be implemented? Watched/unwatched exists in listview ONLY for TVSeries to my knowledge. And does not exist in any views for Moving Pictures, only as details to the selected movie. Or do you know how to do it? If so, please share.

    best regards

    I tried an eye icon, but did not like it.

    If you use a closed eye, it has to be close to an open eye to be meaninful.

    If you use a green open eye, it gives the impression of watched. That would clutter the layout.

    If you use a red open eye, it gives the impression of unwatched. But the red color is too heavy and gives the impression that something is not right.

    Adding unwatched and watched icons would bring to much clutter.

    I really liked the "new" stamp only. It would be easy to see which movies are unwatched (or new) when browsing the whole collection and it is unobtrusive.

    If it is not the filmstrip view, then I don't see the point. If it was to replace the filmstrip view, that could be ok, otherwise no.

    I have no idea if unwhatched indicators can be implemented. I just assumed it was possible. Too bad if it can't. It would be really nice. :(

    Hi,

    This is not a plugin specific issue. The list, filmstrip and thumbnail view does not have alternative images for watched/unwatched movies/tvseries. It has only option for focus/unfocus images. TVSeries has the option to in listview have text and icon displaying if a movie is watched or unwatched. So I'm sorry to say that what you are suggesting (and it looks very good) does not seam to be possible at least to my knowledge.

    best regards

    Too bad.. would have been a nice addition.
    Is it possible to show genre during filmstrip or thumbnails(down next to the title)?
    Or is that something that you have tried and didn´t like?
