Hi ErCa,

Yes, this is because of the cache folder. This folder is;

for Windows XP;
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\cache

for Vista;
C:\Program Data\Team Mediaportal\Mediaportal\Cache

in this folder you find the xfactor folder. Delete that and you are done.

I admire your effort in putting this skin together, but I have to admit I'll have to keep r191.

The new Thumbs view, either for moving pictures ou Tvseries did not please me at all.

Those views are, in my opnion, a vertical version of the filmstrip view.

One more thing, take a look at the screen shots. When you select a tv series you have all the same information of plot, run time, genre, etc. That is taking valuable space in the first screen that could be used by the fanart.

I tried replacing only the parts I needed, but I figure out that there are a lot of files I have to modify or replace entirely and those files are sometimes used in other views. I don't have time right now to mess with them.

r191 still have a few things it need to be corrected, but I guess I'll have to live with them.

I might try testing all other functions of r200 to help you out by pointing glitches or errors and suggesting enhancements, but that will only happen on a "test" machine.

Unfortunelty, testing in real life everyday regular use will not happen.

Thanks a lot for the fast reply.
In the hurry i read c:\program\ and not c:\programdata\ and don't give it another thought why there is no cache folder =)
It works perfect now and im already a fan of the wide banner view in series and large thumbnail view in movies.
There is one thing i wounder though, in myseries is it needed to have so many options at the top because i like from the movies option there is a alternative for switching the layout witch i miss in series. Maybe just me who don't need the options and video settings alternative there.

Sorry you feel this way but I do this in my spare time and I try to use all your feedback and put it into the xfactor skin but in the end I have to follow my own inspiration and do the skin I like myself, otherwise I cannot see myselves put in all these hours and late nights.

In my emulators in list view instead of game poster shows "poster not found"..
Syntax error (one ">" more), i attach corrected version.
BTW, if any knows, I put in my emulators (PC Game) in database all info (Genre, Description, Year), but info doesn't show.

Skin does not load

Hi Cul8r,

The screenshots look great.
I have downloaded the MPI file and installed it as per the directions.

I used the X-Factor plugin to config the menu options and created a basichome screen to test (Very simple one menu options)

I have MP 1.0.1 installed and all other skins work ok

When I go to load the X-factor skin it goes through the motions... Intialising SKin, Loading fonts etc, but after the says Loading Plugins it just goes back to my windows desktop (Win XP) and doesnt load?

Would be great if you could please provide advice as to why this might be happening.

bug report:

If i configure the xfactor plugin and apply and save.
it works. but the next time i will change the config all my settings are lost.

how does this come?

Hi remb0,

After pressing generate button and the save in the menu editor you get back to the MP configuration screen. Did you press cancel or ok here? If you press ok you should have your settings saved, but if you press cancel it will undo your changes.

no don't pressed cancel.

Another thing happened: some text overlayed in other text. total movie count for example.

the new layouts are very cool. but the one in the older version: big icons i mis.
can i use the 3 new layouts and the iconwall from the older version insted of the new little icon version on the vertical bar?

I have deleted my basichome and create a new one. and now it is working

Hi,

I have worked on TVSeries a little. Please let me know what you think and if this provides more variance between the views. Also the widebanner view I have included two designs and I would very much like your opinion on wich to use in next version.
