I totally agree. It is a simple HTML edit, although some have absolutely no idea (or no desire) to change it themselves Hence if the issue doesn't crop up I thought it would save a lot of unwanted posts asking for it

Would be nice if the menu editor picks up any backdrop images that you put in the relevant folders yourself. Not sure if that feature got implemented earlier?
What i mean is say that you select the weather main page. In the editor there are a list of backdrops you can use. Is it possible to add your own to the folder and they will appear in this list?? I don't think its good to be able to navigate and select an image on your hard drive somewhere, as this creates links all over the place.

Anyway, back to work lol. Think I will be dreaming in Xfactor style before long lol.

Is it possible to move rss news ticker on top of the screen, because as i see , when you select menu item, rss ticker is covered...

Hi,

I have decided not to make the alpha release available this week as I promised. I feel bad about this because I don't like making promises that I cannot keep. The reason for not releasing this week is the following;
1. Team MP have now resolved the BasicHome crasch problem and it will be part of MP release 1.01. I have not found that this skin is affected by the bug yet but as this bug happens often to some people and with intervall of weeks to other users it might be that if I release, someone would get this problem. 2. The release of MP 1.0.1 is as I understand getting closer and as some of you have hinted earlier in this thread it is better to await this release so I can make sure the skin is ready for this version.

Having said this I can report of great progress;
* TV part is now 95% complete
* Menu editor i done (BIG thanks to pilehave for all help)

so I have completed (apart from the 5% of TV plugin) everything that should be part of the alpha release. This means that you can espect a release soon after the release of MP 1.0.1.

Image of the menu editor will be added to the first post later today.

Well, seems that you made great progress with the skin! Can't wait to test it.

If you need someone to test against the basic-home crash bug, i will be more than happy to test it for you.
If i install streamedmp on my mediaportal install it's a matter of minutes before it crashes, this is happening always so i could tell you pretty fast if your skin suffers from the same issues (since it's based on streamedmp).

Answer;
Version one of the menu editor uses fixed folders for movies, tvseries, tv, games, weather and so on. If you put an image in one of these folders it will show in MP. I will try to add more options to customize images and the menu in versions to come.

Good suggestion but I will leave rss news where it is because I like the current layout. But thank you for the suggestion.

Thank you for the offer but as the basic home crash bug is resolved in SVN and MP1.0.1 it is not that critical to see if the x-factor skin has this bug or not. But thank you for the offer.

Current status of the skin is that not much has happened in a few days. I have finished all plugins that I want to include in the alpha release and is now awaiting the release of MP1.0.1
