Dvd and Movies not working

I installed this skin last night following the instructions on the first page!
First thing I noticed when i started Mediaportal was that the buttons are all black and white.
I was able to view my Photo's but when I go start DVD or Movies nothing happens. I see the Weather bar at the top of the screen blink onze and I stay in the main screen!
Did I forget to configure something?

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Do you mean that you have a problem or that the pictures in the menu ia black and white. If it is that the pictures are black and white and you want color then please read the FAQ thread for instructions.

I was able to view my Photo's but when I go start DVD or Movies nothing happens.

1. The DVD link is for playing a DVD that is in your DVD drive. Did you have a DVD inserted into your DVD player?
2. The Movie Link is for opening the Moving Picture plugin (is not installed with standard MP). If you want to use the standard plugin in MP for movies (myVideos) then use the menu editor plugin to change the Movie link from Moving Pictures to myVideo.

If you mean that you want to see the "five" day weather forecast then press UP in any one of the main menues and continue to press UP in the submenues until you are at the top of the submenu. Pressing UP again will display the forecast.

Please do not hesitate to ask for more information if I missunderstood something.

hi, I still get a message the "Skin is outdated", I also tried to edit references.xml to 1.0.2.0 but it still showing me the message.
how can I resolve this?

Hi staticx,

Are you running MP 1.0.2 or 1.0.1 or an older version? In references it must be as it was (not 1.0.2).

i'm running mp102.
my references file was 1.0.1.0 and I tought that if I change it to 1.0.2.0 the problem will be solved. but NO.

also, I can't get the weather to work, take a look at that picture (look at the right up corner)


again, thanks for an awesom skin. version 219 does look much better!

Hi Cul8er,
Could you answer me about the "no sound problem"?

I explained before that, with new version, no sound is present when press a key or when i move across the menu.
Is it correct?

just noticed that i haven't used www. in front of the domain name, dunno if thats a problem. As i said earlier; it's the same url that i used with MP-RSSTicker plugin.

I wonder if Info Service is a process or a window plugin. Because when tried to run it from "process" the configuration appeared in the "windows" section, and even though I'd configured it correctly, it showed nothing in MediaPortal. I solved it by copying the .dll to windows as well. It's really weird. But works.
