i think I pressed "Save" and then Generate. I have the backups of my older basichome but I don't know how to load it to the home builder.

    Hi,

    The menu editor does not use the basichome file it just generates new ones. The configuration you make and saves is stored in a file called xfactor.xml and resides in the MediaPortal data directory (the same folder that has subfolders like cache and thumbs). If you have it then you pressed save otherwise I'm afraid that your configuration is lost and you have to redo it. You also have a file called xfactor.xml in your xfactor skin folder but this is only for creating the default menu.

    best regards

    Hi,

    Imokles;
    Good suggestion, I will do that. Thank you!

    skatehead;
    Do you mean that in Blue3 or Blue3Wide the references was not 1.0.1.0 and it affects other skins? In references (for xfactor) it should be 1.0.1.0 that I got confirmed by MP members.

    best regards
    cul8er

    When running 1.0.1 all should read 1.0.1. When running 1.0.2 all should read 1.0.2.
    After I upgraded first to 1.0.1 later 1.0.2 blue3 was not updated correctly on my machine and was running one behind. (1.0.0 resp 1.0.1) that affects others skins as well. There is some kind of reference to blue3 version when checking at start up.

    InfoService plugin

    hi cul8er,

    yesterday the InfoService plugin crashed my mediaportal, i tried restarting MP several times but it crashed before it reached into basichome. I looked in the error description in the "stopped working" dialog, and it had a reference to infoservice. I then disabled the infoservice plugin and MP starts up fine.

    I guess there is some bugs in infoservice plugin that need to be sorted out. Did you find any errors with the RSS feed?

    Hi,

    Please relate all bugs/feature requests related to the InfoService plugin to this thread (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-plugins-47/mpinfoservice-v0-5-five-day-weather-multiple-rss-feeds-twitter-basic-home-60206/). Then you will get better answers direct from the developer.

    I've been working with HTPCs, MediaPortal, XBMC, Media Center for a while and all I can say is that this skin is absolutely gorgeous - and - practical. Really, then only thing I could comment on (unless it's intentional) is that the correct spelling is SUDOKU.

    I was impressed with StreamedMP/MediaStream but I have grown totally fond of XFactor the past few months, keep up the great work.

    InfoService is a window plugin, so please be sure you have copied InfoService.dll to your window plugin folder.
    If this bug comes again, please send me your mediaportal log, without i can't do very much :/

    Btw: I've uploaded a new version (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-plugins-47/mpinfoservice-v0-5-five-day-weather-multiple-rss-feeds-twitter-basic-home-60206/index5.html), that supports your feed you have posted earlier, but you must do some little modifcations in the skin file to use the new version. Open your basichome.xml in the x-factor skin folder and change all #rssfeed to #feedtitles and all #rssimg to #feedimg and save.

    I love your skin!! It looks really awesome!

    I do have a question about the weather forecast though. U can get the forecast by pressing up. But is there any wat to make it default?

    At the moment there is no possibilty to do that. I'll upload a new version of InfoService tonight or tomorow with this feature.
