    Jonathan,

I have just installed and setup your plugin (version 1.3) and im very impressed! Thank you very much for your hard work, and good luck with the ongoing development.

I've learned a lot about XMLTV and configuring channel listings through xml files over the past year, but there still comes times when XMLTV would let me down: corrupted xml files, incomplete listings, incorrect timezone information, etc...

Your plugin couldn't be any simpler:

    - Autotune your channels in the TV configuration
    - configure the plugin with your account info
    - run MediaPortal

One question I do have though,

on the last tab in the plugin configuration (zap2it lineups), when press the refresh button, then select my lineup (I only have 1 setup) and then hit the green play button to load the lineup, I get a message box:

"An item with the same key has already been added"

It doesnt seem to have an effect on the usage of the plugin within MP, but I am curious what it's referring to.

It won't have any impact as that tab is not used except to allow you to make lineup changes on the Zap2it server without using the web browser. Could you tell me which lineup you are using so I can try and reproduce the error? Thanks!!

Of course. Im using the following lineup:

Local Broadcast Listings - Antenna (for L1M1E7)

If it isn't reproducible, let me know and I'll PM you my labs.zap2it.com account information for testing.

    Jonathan -

Well done!! Finally, my EPG is accurate!! I love the rename feature off an autotune! Next onto logos - those are simple compare to the epgs of the past!!

One suggestion - since I do not run mp 24/7 yet - would it be possible to add an option for force the update all the time at startup instead of having to go into the configuration each time to check - force update?

    thanks

    jim

While it would be possible, you shouldn't really need to as when MediaPortal starts it will check to see if it missed a update and immediately (well, 15 seconds after startup) will go and do an update. It also checks to make sure you have at least a days worth of guide data left, if not, it should also do an immediate update :)

I put Zap To It inside of the proccess folder which is inside the plugins folder. I then enabled the plugin, and clicked on configure as the instructions said. I ran into an error.

It said the following... I enclosed a picture of the error message also.

    2d0a1f43.jpg

Below is a copy of the message it said...

Also, I have reinstalled MediaPortal to a fresh copy by deleting the directory and reinstalled the plugin but none have worked. I have also installed the below copy of MediaPortal and like it was said to do in a post above mine but it has not worked. When I dowloaded the copy at that link, I used the repair option also.

    http://svn.team-mediaportal.com/

Somebody please help. I have had so much trouble with MediaPortal and I really really really want it to work.

    Thankyou

Yep, it is reproducable and it is because the lineup has two channels with the same channel number and I had (incorrectly) assumed that wouldn't happen :)

Will change that for the next build though!

Yea I have noticed this on Zap2it also. My channel 60 will have GOV0005 and then ESPN or something like that. Seems pretty lame, but you need to uncheck one of them. Most likely the GOV channel :)
