nope, not yet. Just back from my 3 week USA roadtrip. Before that I tried. Unfortunately the OS does not recognize the tv-card with a modified ( longer cable) pcie-adaptor. I think this weekend I will try the original adaptor cable. if that doesn't work...uhm...I've to figure out why.

so once again here in the thread with my own home project:

have to re-create and upgrade my system @ home.
    project start-date: june 2012
    project end-date: november 2012

    reason:

    - i need more disk-space - (thx to Sky and the HD-Content they send :) )
    - i wanna try to upgrading my timeshift-constellation a bit (better HDD structure)
    - have to change one client (sleepingroom - old one had OS-problems and killed the TV-Series database)
    - think about changing my client in the living room ... but not sure.

also had done - some changes in my 19" rack ...
2 new 19" devices have been build by myself

    router.jpg

    1. a new routing-file-server with a new modem (Atheros and Linux based with only 32gig HDD-Space)incl. some kind of hmmm :) super-save-file-system (backup-function of my firm-server via www)
    2. a second 19" nano-server for some hmmm "special-jobs" - maybe later more.
so i had to re-order the rack.
and now that i am in progress with the re-organisation
i decided to change the enclosure of my TV-Server again.
it will become the same housing that i use for the file-server.
Travla TE-1160 ... (picture of it attached)

    Travla TE-1160.jpg

i just plug-off all kind of fans inside - couse the Atom boards are really "cool" while work.
--- passive server's (all of them - except the Travla PSU's)

so in the course of that job i also decided to upgrade disk-space...
lot of work alltogether couse it cost time - lot of copy jobs need to be done ...
AND the system should be all time available - couse wife and kid still wana watch.

    so the new-old TV-Server re-build is in progress ...
i just can provide a picture of the rack from the beginning of the re-organization
    (w.t. old SuperMicro enclosure)...

    rack.jpg

after i did the first re-order in the rack...
but will change that asap and bring some actual picturs...
also from the finished AurumHD passive clients ...

couse the server counts grow up now in my rack i
also think about to install the 19" keboard and the screen
(which lay here since 2 years) but i am not sure about that -
couse with RDP and TeamViewer the admin job is allways done very well ...

    have fun

    Hi,
some of you might be interested in the following link regarding PC case design and passive cooling.

I don't think he is a member here, but his pc cases are beautiful - both in design and finish:
I've linked to "Project Ayr" but have a look at all of his work.

    @azzuro

the supermicro came from a B2B platform called mercateo.
i just modify it and build in the double 2.5" HDD hot-plug-frame in the front.
also inside there is a frame for 2 x 2.5" HDD's so all in all 4 HDDs can be build in.

if you are interessted in the Supermicro - it is for sale.
    just PM me ... :)

the Travla's (i have now two of the TE-1160 in use) where from Tragant Berlin.
they have some in stock - but not the type you are interessted in.
they do have the T2440/T2441 in list (but also not in stock)
    - price is about 380 Euros per unit - without tax
the 1HU TE-1160 ist much cheaper is about 310 Euro without tax ...and it is in stock

    you really need a case for 2 MoBo's ?

    regards

EDIT: attached an effective picture of my server constellation.

ITX : 1 PCI (but Riser for 2 PCI)

    Mitiged :
    2 PCI : 1 DVB-T + 1 DVB-S with internal/no CI OR 1 DVB-S + CI cam (i don't know if is PCI or PCI-E)

T3340 (Micro ATX) exist similar but with Low Profil backet : T2340 (Micro ATX)
    Pro :
    Real Micro-ATX
    No riser (4 bracket available)
    4 PCI available (2 PCI-E + 2 PCI = Evolution )

    salü azzuro -

the cost of those cases are high - but the qualitiy is real good - also the function.
maybe you should think about digital-devices for the tuner section
in your tvserver - they have real good hardwar and they also have ultra low profile formats.

so if you would decide to buy a 1HU case like the te1160 you would have 2 full size expansions slots in the enclosure.
that means in "worst-case" space for 6 tuner (3 double tuner modules) and one double CI-slot for two CAM's ... or even 8 tuners without CAM's... if that is needed.

so a m-ITX board with mPCIe or a PCIe 1x would be enought.
(some kind of DC Atom with 2x1,5Ghz ;) ..) if your tv-server will be dedicated in Multi-seat.

so the slim and low power consumption case would be a real good deal.
and the 4 x 3.5" HDD hot plug frames (it also got 2 x 2.5" inside) are good for the future.
