..... although I'm not interested in the wireless or blue tooth features.

    - Chuck

    Hi chuck -

both can be dissabled in the BIOS.
and then they are "gone" in OS.

    regards

    EDIT:

    Board arrived yesterday -
    looks fine and solid.
if i have the time i will take some pictures while
i tune the cooling concept this weekend.

    little picture time -
couse my 8 month young daughter went to sleep yesterday real early
    - so i got about 37 minutes and short 18 seconds
    - in my basement for a quick & dirty drill-job. :D

    @ IEB

don't stone me to death :D
only had my cell-phone cam in the basement .... blurry pictures again...

    @ all again

    what happend:

just made the E350 Board "nacked" (remove the cooler and the fan) ...
then a littel surprise - "Heat-Spreader-Plates" downside of the heatsink.
3 screws - and both where gone -

BUT - shame on GIGYBYTE's heatsink supplier -
NO heat transfer paste between the spreader and the element. (will fix that later)

nevermind - i just took the nacked heatsink and start to drill a 6mm hole inside it.
this will be the hole for the Heatpipe.

after drilling - i had to clean up the hole - also the heatsink between the fins ...
so all clean - assembly of all parts again.
    this time WITH heat-transfer-paste ....

and thats it for now - as IEB wrote i am a bit low on sparetime ...
but it will go step by step:

and next step will be the heat-link-element for the big enclosuer-cooler.
(yes - it is an Aurum-HD enclosure with VFD again :D )

    have fun

ohh, that's looking awesome. Nice work mate. I hope the one heatpipe will do it.
Have you been worried to drill two holes in the heatsink? Would it have been too close? I think it's too late now to give it a go.
Anyway, I'm eager to know the results of your test. Go, Go Go... ;)

    Hi there,

Where did you source your heatpipe from?

And how have you "jointed" it to the heatsink to ensure a good tight fit?

Would it be better to put another heatpipe at the other end of the heatsink, coming out the other side of the heatsink, and fix it to the case where the current one is, and then change the current one to run down the side of the memory and fix towards the front of the case (I appreciate a single heatpipe should in theory handle the thermal output of the CPU/GPU, but two would be better - for the sake of another heatpipe and hole)

IEB ordered them by Cooler-Master-Shop in the netherlands
    - but they are also available @ Conrad - Ihr Online Shop für Elektronik, Computer, Multimedia, Modellbau & Technik
(german parts distributor for everyone :) )

    the heat-pipe is a 6mm fitting - so i used a 6mm drill ...
    - a 5.8mm drill th hole would be too small for it -
so the 6mm drill makes a joinable hole at all.
i allways press the heatpipe a bit oval so it fits stronger/harder
so its got a good contact and heat can be transported away very well.
(in case of the zacate/brazos it is not much - max 18 wTDP)
if thats not enought - next chapter in this post below :)

sure two would be better - but less "flesh" (aloy-material) of the cooling element
    stops that "second-6mm-heat-pipe" project -
the smaller massiv part @ the cooler is just about 8.8mm high
(for drilling a 6mm hole) so only 1.4mm where left up and below
    EDIT
(pls take a look @ the picture attached)

if i had a 3mm heatpipe (wich can also be ordered by Conrad)
i would have done it that way - but i am in the mood
that it will be enought with that one 6mm heatpipe.

if not - :D well back again - order 3mm HeatPipe and heat-link-element
and then - drilling time again ...

so hold the fingers cross that it is enought.

Sorry again - for the double post...

    Heat-Link-Element

    - saw
    - drill
    - and fit in :)

now i do some color-spray-job and assambleit with the board in the enclosure

and than i hope i can fix all the cable-harness so that all looks fine and accurate

    have fun

    :D
well this "baby-version" just can handel all kind of heat-pipeable CPU/GPU's
couse its big heatsinks @ the side :D - and i like it this small way

if you need one of that baby-versionl - leave me a note ;)

and where are the pictures of your "adult-version" :D ???

    EDIT:

    cooling-link-element sprayed (black) and mounted

    EDIT 2:

last picture - did all the internal MoBo wiring - e.g. USB for the FVD

Today i'll try to install the rest of the cables inside the enclosure.

    @IEB
... *happy* find my spiral-wrapping-tube-boxes for the wirring again :D

(ok -. try to find some time for the job ;) )
also the HDD will be installed
    - (only a 120 gig 2.5" SATA1 i think :D )

will be more than enought for a multiseat client.

    EDIT:

bit of wirring ... just one picture
