no it is made by "my-hand-company" ;)

quick-glue brings ugly fog on the acrylic - so i have to polish it twice :(

in progress? I would say it's finished. That's what it should look like. It's clean with no bling bling. Just one knob and a display. Anyhow, I'd love to see a slot-in version too as well as a "stealthed" optical drive bay. ;)

    hi finrudd341,

nice to see some followers comments here.

Meanwhile I tried another motherboard which is a NM10-DTX of Zotac in combination with an ATI 5450.

here's a picture of that board.

    NM10-B-E_image1%20%5B800x600%5D.jpg

I've installed Win7 64 and MP 1.1.final client as well as BD handler. HD TV streaming came from my Master (Sky Sport HD1).

As expected this combination had no problem with 1080p and 1080i (vector adaptive interlacing). It had maybe 1 per mille dropped frames which you could not recognize.

To consider the results of this test I give full recommendation for this board as a htpc combination for every purpose-
Either as master, single seat or client it fullfills all requirements.

It has a minipcie onboard connector which is suitable for the digital devices cine S2 and CI.

    Since this combination is
    a) slightly bigger than a mini itx ( plus 30mm) 170x200m it will not fit in all itx housings
    b) a dedicated gfx card is needed for BR and 1080i

meets only 95% of the aspired needs, we decided to test another candidate, which is a

    Jetway NC98-525-LF

    NC98.jpg

This board has a inbuilt Geforce G218. We hope it will handle 1080i VA deinterlacing.
A Mini PCIe connector would allow the usage of the digital devices cine s2.

So , fingers crossed, we hope that this is the ideal candidate for our project.
As soon as we have it in our hands we'll report.

    that's so far from here.

This mini-PCIe - I am interested in this. I have a Zotac board on order (Zotac ION-ITX-A Wi-Fi Dual Core 1.6GHz Atom N330) which I am hoping to use as a client for HD playback. This also has a mini-PCI card slot which has the wireless card installed, but I was much more interested in what other cards I could put in. Firstly, I found this for Brazilian Digital TV: TV Products Expert as it might be easier to have stand alone TV capabilities on client devices, if they can receive the tv signal with a small antenna. I haven't seen any mini pci cards for dvb-s, but that would be a great addition too!

Also, have you looked at this passive cooled mini-itx board? Looks interesting - the only thing I don't like is that there is only 2 x sata connectors, which limits it's uses, but otherwise pretty nice looking.

    hi finrudd,

    do not mingle mini-pci with mini-pcie. the Zotac ION-ITX-A Wi-Fi Dual Core 1.6GHz Atom N330 comes with a mini-pcie wifi-card.
mini-pcie is a different connector than the slot connector of mini-pci.
yes, there are mini-pcie cards for dvb-s(2) from digital devices. have a look here.

Re the ASUS board, which is a beauty we made not good experiences with the itx boards of that manufacturer. And you're right, 2 SATA connectors aren't up-to-date.

    Hi,
i am really fascinating from developing a really silent htpc.

Based on the idea from enzym, iwant now reactivate an old denon dvd-player.
Now i am searching for a nice Motherboard like Jetway NC98-525-LF.

So i am very interested in the Testresults from ichessblumen, if the board and graphics is able to play hd content like vc1 1080p and 1080i.

    greetings
