Done all these things, no change - same issue still.

Placed timeshift on RAM, SSD, ordinary SATA.
    Inserted another NIC.
Recorded on SSD and ordinary SATA.
Paused for a while and watched.
    Uninstalled antivirus.

From a client live and recorded TV still stutter from time to time. Playing other stuff like music movies in different formats all works well. Playing live and recorded TV from the single-seat all works great.

The problem seemes to be isolated to playing .ts file... but I cant understand why. What to do and where to go from here?

So there was no difference or improvement with RAM<-->SSD<-->HDD?

I guess the question to ask would be: what is different about the TS files and how the clients are accessing them.

    - are they higher bitrate?
    - do you have different codec settings for video and TV?
    - what mode of access are you using - RTSP or UNC shares?

Nope, none. The feeling is that things are more rapid and responsive when on SSD or RAM but that is probably just a feeling.

    Dunno, how can I tell?
I have the problem on SD and HD tv, no difference.

Have played around with codecs and no difference.

I guess TV and Recorded TV uses RTSP och movies and stuff use UNC? I have the most basic setup more or less yes next finish settings. Never had a reason for touching advanced settings (before this I guess).

As a test I copied a recorded show and put it locally on a client and played it, played perfectly.
Added Recorded TV as a Movies Folder and played it on a client, played perfectly.
So I guess that the problem is related to the RTSP protocol? Recorded TV when played from Recorded TV on client is played using RTSP?

I think I have solved it. Played live TV for 30 minutes and not a single stutter anywhere.
I uninstalled software after software to try and find what was the problem, after uninstalling ASUS Epu-6 Engine the problem went away.
I actually changed mode in the application from Maximum Power saving to Tubo Mode and the problem went away, so I uninstalled the application all together.
So as i turned out, this was never related to MediaPortal at all.
Dear all, thanks for all help! :)
