Does this happen only after standby, but works perfectly from a clean boot.

My system isn't set to standby or hibernate as it causes issues with the TV when it comes out of standby. It will do this from a clean boot. I'll try reinstalling the TV-Server and see if any of your suggestions make a difference.

Just a little information on my setup. I have multiple systems on my network but I only have the MP software installed on the one in my profile. Since my antenna isn't working I haven't bothered with running clients on other machines.

Same problem here, HTPC hangs for about 3 sekundes und than "unfreeze" for another 3 sek.
Trying to reinstall the TV-Service.

//Edit:

After reinstalling my MediaPortal TV-Server everything seems fine again. If you have the same problem, try to fix it like this (You don't have to deinstall the db, deinstall it by the recommended mode).

Hi, the only thing about this is the machine that hangs does not have TV server on it, it has the TV plugin as is only used to accept streams from the TV server PC. It's when the server is off that the client PC hangs as it's trying to hand shake with a TV server that's not on. I could understand this if i'm trying to go into the TV menu but we're simply talking about the basis home screen. I therefore can't see how reinstalling TV server on my main PC will help as the stuttering only happens on the client PC when the TV server PC is switched off.

As mentioned, I have gone back to MP v1 on the client HTPC and all is fine again, so something has changed in terms of the handshake in v1.0.2
