    Hello,

I instaled PowerDVD 8 and use the Video Codecs.

If Hardware acceleration is active (both: PDVD8 & MP), I get a black screen at full screen TV. Within the TV Menu the picture is fine!

If if deaktivate Hardware acceleration in MP, Fullscreen does work!

With PDVD7 it did work fine even with active Hardware acceleration!

Has anybody an Idea what to do?

    Thanks!

    - Revert back to PDVD7 (8 doesnt provide anything special compated to 7 when it comes to codecs)
    - try different catalyst driver version

Ok, I read of it! I thought I had to give PDVD8 a chance...

If there comes no further answers, I will go back to PDVD7.

I get a BlueRay player and thought to have the newest Version of it...

    Thanks!

Does it make any difference between VMR9 or EVR as renderer, vmr9 i have issues if exclusive mode selected.

You need config to be in expert mode to see the directshow settings.

Do you use the latest PowerDvd version ?

    Patches are located here:
    Patches - CyberLink PowerDVD

    unfortunetaly it did'nt made a difference. :(

But it was interesting to read:

    • Improvement in Blu-ray Disc playback performance on AMD platforms.
    • General updates for Blu-ray Disc titles' compatibility.

So I will try a little longer to get PDVD8 work, bevor get back to 7 and have mabe problems with blueray.

What ATI driver have you got installed, i know the last 2 releases have improved things for a lot of ATI owners, and as this is hardware related would also be a good place to look for the problem.

No, with EVR there is no TV at all!

Catalyst 8.7 Hotfix for Windows XP Professional and Home Edition

I tried the 8.8 but had a loss of picture quality (in my opinion).
