    Hi again Chris and M

Any suggestions from anyone would be welcome. I suppose re-installing Windows 7 and starting again may be the only way.

I am also going to try another PCI slot just in case.

I still have the other card installed here (just disabled).
It has been a while since I looked at this thread, and when I re-read it a moment ago I had an idea. Can you possibly hold fire on upgrading/downgrading/card-pulling for 8 hours or so? If so I'll provide you a test build and some instructions, and we'll see if my hunch is correct. Unfortunately I'm at work, otherwise I'd do this now...

To MP Devs: I am not the only one with this card who is having this sort of problem, and MP is the only app having this problem with this card. I can test anything suggested and report back with logs if this would help. I think the USB thing may be part of the issue as the previous Peak single USB tuner that I tried also failed to work (I assumed it was broken).
Have you got any links to other threads that you'd like to share? This is the first and only time I have heard about issues with your tuner, but then again I am quite new to the team.

    Okay Chris

Here are the test builds I promised. Before you start, make sure you make a backup copy of the TVLibrary.dll in your TV Server install folder. Please follow these instructions carefully with *both* builds:

    1. Stop TV Server.
    2. Clear your TV Server logs.
    3. Download and extract the TVLibrary.dll attached to this post into your TV Server install folder.
    4. Start TV Server.
    5. Attempt to tune to any channel with the Peak tuner.
    6. Take a copy of the TV Server logs, zip them up, and post them here.

At the end of this I'm hoping to see two clean sets of TV Server logs...

Hope to hear from you soon :)

    M.

A quick question for you. The 3 tuners listed in your system spec - are they all plugged into the same TV Server? Would be interested to see some logs. Could you possibly do the following for me:

    1. Stop TV Server.
    2. Clear the logs.
    3. Start TV Server.
    4. Tune to one channel on each tuner.
    5. Post your logs here.

I think I found the issue with Chris' system earlier, and in fact I came across a similar issue here several weeks ago (the fix I posted for Chris is the same fix from there). I'm curious to know why you are not affected though...

    @mm1352,

Will do. I'm in work at present so will do it later this evening.

I have temporarily removed the Hauppuage card, just so I could test the Terrestrial signal off the Peak card. I'll reinstall it tonight and post the logs up so you can see what is happening to all three.

Edit: How do I channel select on an individual card? Is it using the channel 'preview' in the TVServer config

If you don't have channels that are unique to each tuner then it is probably easiest to temporarily disable all tuners except the one you're testing. Alternatively you could pick one or two channels as test channels and map them only to the tuner that you're testing...

    Hi mm,

Find attached first set of test logs. I stopped TV Service about 9.00am (my time), disabled the Nova card and then just had the Peak DVB-T card and TBS DVB-S card running; these two cards do have channels that are different.

Wasn't sure how to clear logs, but you should be able to scroll through to the time and check what has happened.

I stopped TV Server, started MP, went to TV and selected 'CBS Action' which is unique to the DVB-S card. This ran for about 1 min and I then exited MP.

EDIT: Where's the logs???? I did upload them...I'll try again..... still no logs attached! I'll try a different browser..... The upload is failing halfway through the file transfer

mm, can you PM me an email address so I can email them instead??

    Hi M,

It turned up yesterday. Thanks so much for testing this for me!

    mm1352000,

The first patch worked great for scan and for watching.

    I have attached the logs.

Do I need to try the other one as well?

Is the plan that these changes may end up in future builds of MP?

Thanks for all of your help.

    Chris

Sounds good - progress at last?

I have been unable to get access to the TVServer so I haven't been able to forward the logs - we use it as the main TV and the GF has been in charge.

    Please bear with me.

    M.
